Thomas and Adam met when they were both less than 10 years old and became friends by running into each other all the time at the same places and deciding it must be a sign. Little league? Check. Basketball? Check. Chess tournaments? Check. Thomas and Adam have spent countless days and nights talking, gaming, and hanging out. All that time together defines Adam as Thomas's oldest and closest friend.

The farthest-travelling attendant of this wedding, Fiona is Katy's long distance BFF that is, at all times, the most supportive and loving human on the planet with the craziest craft talent you've ever seen. Katy was honored to be her Maid of Honor in 2017 and is now honored to have her be a part of her wedding.

Richard Monroe

Richard and Thomas met shortly after Thomas stepped into the Lindy Hop world, and instantly got along. Richard was a great mentor and was always there for Thomas when he had something he wanted to talk about, whether it was dance related or of a personal nature. Sharing many of the same hobbies and a similar sense of humor, Thomas considers Richard an extremely close friend.

Martha Diaz

Martha made Katy break her "no Facebook with coworkers" rule, and she's so glad she did. Being together all day, 5 days of the week for 4 1/2 years made Katy well aware of what a funny and wonderful person Martha is. While they now work at different places, thanks to the Skype gods they're able to still be each other's rays of sunshine in the workplace.

Denver Greene

Denver and Thomas essentially met each other for the first time twice. The first time, Denver was a camp counselor for a tech camp that Thomas attended. The second time, Thomas and Denver met by chance dancing at the Houston Swing Dance Society. Denver and Thomas spent a lot of time together and played a lot of board games while they were both on the same swing dance team.

Alyssa DeSantis

Alyssa and Katy met in Longhorn Band and became friends when they realized they were basically the same person. Their common love for Disney, musicals, French horn, and adventures led to so many wonderful memories and Katy is so excited to have her with her for her wedding day.

Ian Fund

Thomas and Ian have not known each other for very long, but they have become good friends very quickly. Ian is a genuinely nice person and has been an excellent guest at Katy and Thomas's parties. Also, he and Thomas have great conversations about computer science, podcasts, and dancing.

Alesandra Bull

Allie and Katy met swing dancing and were almost immediately completely inseparable. She is the dictionary image of a "great friend" and has on multiple occasions dropped everything to come help Katy out of a pickle. Allie cares so deeply for her loved ones and Katy is so glad to be in the mix.

Justin Mann

Justin was an excellent mentor to Thomas when he started dancing in Houston. Additionally, Justin is a hilariously silly guy that Thomas is always happy to spend late night board gaming sessions with.

Kendra Williamson

Thomas met Kendra on the day he was born and they've been like siblings ever since. Kendra has been an awesome older sister and, now that Thomas is now a (mostly) fully-functioning adult, she's become an awesome friend too. Katy is grateful to have gained such a fun sister and Thomas is happy that everyone else is happy.

Danny and Thomas's sister, Kendra, have been together for upwards of seven years, and Danny has made himself a valued member of the family. Recently Danny and Kendra got help from Thomas and Katy learning a choreography for a wedding in India, and so it seems Danny can fit into Thomas and Katy's dance friends circle as well!

Liz and Katy also met swing dancing, and became friends over their shared love of good food, good drink, and good board games. Together they've travelled to Vermont, and they've helped each other through the joys of home ownership. Liz is always up for an adventure and Katy is thankful to have her by her side for this one!

Chris and Thomas see each other nearly weekly to play board games with Liz and Katy and share a love of scotch. Chris also used to live with Katy and Thomas and is always a welcome guest in their home, mainly because he never gave his key back.

Catie and Katy met in Longhorn Band. Their mutual love for Disney, music, board games, and fun makes every get-together a memorable one. Funny story: their aunts once met on a cruise and had a very confusing conversation about their neice named Katy/Catie who played Mello in the Longhorn Band.

Katy and Manny met in the All-American College Band at Disneyland in 2009. Manny has always been there to provide support and wisdom for Katy through the ups and downs life threw at her, and Katy and Thomas are both so excited to include him in their day.

Elissa and Katy met in Longhorn Band and always roomed together with Catie and Alyssa on band trips. Elissa is a such a genuine and caring person and is always fun to be around. Katy is so thankful that she flew in from Denver to celebrate, and that all of CAKE is reunited!

Kevin Nguyen

Kevin and Thomas met during Thomas's single year going to UT Austin. They bonded over their common drive to get better at dancing and practiced as peers and friends. Thomas is excited to have Kevin come to Houston for a while and participate in his wedding.

Kendall Stearns

Kendall is a genuinely kind, helpful, and intelligent person and is an amazing little brother to Katy. His laid back personality and love for video games has over the years helped form a friendship with Thomas as well. Since he is so dear to both Katy and Thomas' hearts, as well as being arguably the funniest person on the planet, they are so excited he'll be officiating their ceremony!

Kari Kron

Thomas and Kari have been dance partners for 3+ years, brought together by similar ambitions. They've travelled together as far as San Francisco to compete and learn. Thomas and Kari share the same drive to improve but have different focuses that turn out to be mutually beneficial. Outside of dancing, Thomas and Katy appreciate Kari's fun, creative personality and enjoy making fun of her inability to spell.
