It's the classic story of finding love when you least expect it. We were both very happily single, traveling, and prioritizing our friends and our next adventures. A week before I (Katy) was about to head to Texas for a month to see family, I got a message on Tinder (lol) from a cute guy. Ted called out our SEC connection—him going to Auburn and me to Georgia—asked what brought me to Denver, and how I was liking it. A couple of funny (now cringy) messages back and forth led me to ask him if he'd want to grab drinks the next day at Recess, a fun beer garden near me. As is obvious now, the date was a success. We both couldn't believe how much we had in common, how fun the date was, and how much we wanted to see each other again. We ended up going on three dates that week before I left. When I was in Texas, we texted and FaceTimed every day, and when I got back, Ted officially asked me to be his girlfriend. It was the most insane and surreal thing we never saw coming, but we were both so sure from the start. The last three years have been incredible. From traveling around the world to making our first apartment feel like home, things have only gotten better and better. When Ted got down on one knee on the beach in front of his family's house in the Bahamas and asked me to marry him, it wasn't even a question. We feel so incredibly lucky to have met each other and to live the life we do. The wedding in June is a celebration of that and all of the exciting memories to come. We're so, so, so excited to celebrate with y'all and can't wait to see you in Colorado!!
