Getting to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico

San Juan Airport (SJU) is the closest on the island to the wedding venue. From there you can take a Taxi/Uber (40 minute ride) to the Wyndham Rio Mar in Rio Grande, should you chose to stay there. The Wyndham also offers an airport shuttle, if you would like to arrange that with other guests (please see FAQs). Rental cars are available at the airport or at the resort but they are not necessary if you are planning to stay in the Rio Grande Area.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort

We have a hotel room block here for the weekend of the wedding. Special rates are being offered to our guests. Starting at $309 per night, plus tax+fees, for king bed or double bed rooms, with room upgrades available as well! There are a limited number of rooms at this rate so please book as soon as possible. Free cancellation up to 7 days before your stay. Please make your reservation no later than January 18th, 2024 to take advantage of the discounted rates! VRBO Rentals at Wyndham Grand Rio Mar

At the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, where we have our hotel room block, there are also privately-owned properties that you can rent via VRBO. These are condominiums and villas, most of which have kitchens and parking. There are some really affordable options here. There are multiple clusters of villas, so consider planning accordingly with any other friends you want to be close to. *Please keep in mind: renters at the villas/condos are NOT able to use the main hotel pool (although the condo clusters do have their own shared pool areas that are very nice). You will be able to use the amenities at the hotel such as golf, bars and restaurants, however some of the villas/condos are a bit of a walk from the main hotel (8-25 minutes depending on which cluster) so please keep that in mind. If you search the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar on google maps you can easily see where each cluster is located. Some of the villas/condos come with golf carts for getting around the resort property. Golf carts can also be rented if your villa does not come with one (https://www.caribbeanluxuryrentals.com/golf-carts/). There will be a place to park your golf cart at the hotel. Before booking, please message the host and confirm amenities (like pool), distances, and cancellation policy. **All beaches in Puerto Rico are public property, even ones outside of resorts so those of you staying at the villas will not have any issues meeting us on the beach.
