Wedding ceremony location (In the Capitol Hill neighborhood)
Cocktail hour plus reception location (In the West Seattle neighborhood South of Lincoln Park)
Cause why not? You're in Seattle. Also, currently the Space Needle has completed most of its renovations. The observation deck is all glass. So no more ugly wires or rails in your scenic Seattle selfies. Insider Info: You won't have to wait in line forever. When you purchase a ticket you get a "Launch Time" so you can walk around the Seattle Center and sightsee or get something to eat while you wait for scheduled group time
Post Alley is a interesting walk way near the Pike Place Market. It has some good restaurants (The Pink Door a discreet speak easy), local goods (Rachels Ginger Beer), as well as some local sights (The Gum Wall)
For everyone, not just the coffee connoisseur! Can also try some treats by Seattle chef Tom Douglas ;P Trust us when we say that this is a different experience than going to your local Starbucks. (Two locations one on Capitol Hill and another on 1st ave near the stadiums)
I have honestly never been inside. I think it is just another Starbucks. But it's located near The Pike Place Market. So if you're in the area it's worth a look. Starbuck has 28,000+ stores it's kind of interesting to see #1.
There are two people in this world those who love cheese and the lactose intolerant. Beecher's was started here in 2003. If you are in pike place check out Beecher's and watch them hand make their cheese. If this makes you hungry they also serve food.
Don't feel like paying for the Space Needle? Climb this water tower in Volunteer Park to get a great view of Seattle FOR FREE!! (Hours 10 am - Dusk)
Cute little neighborhood lined with brick buildings and dozens of boutiques, restaurants and a cafes.
Ballard is also home to the Ballard locks which is where boats travel through to get from Lake Union to the Sound. You can watch boats go through the locks if you like. Or you can walk below the water to the salmon ladder viewing port, and see if there are any salmon making their way up the river to spawn. The peak time for viewing is September, but there may be some stragglers.
Argosy offers six different narrated boat sightseeing tours. I like "The Locks " tour
Ride the Ducks is an amphibious tour of Seattle utilizing old World War II landing craft to allow riders to see all there is in Seattle on land and sea.
If you're intreseted in planes you could take a look at th museum of flight. It has old fighters, spacecraft and an SR-71 Blackbird. Don't forget to go across the street from the main building where you can go through the Condor (the first supersonic passenger airplane) and a former Air Force One plane!
Super cool falls. About a 45-60 minute drive from Seattle. But no hiking necessary to see the falls. The upper observation deck is less than 100 yards from the main parking lot. Also, don't be discouraged if it's a rainy day. I prefer to go when its raining. The harder the rain, the more powerful the falls become.
FREE BEER!! Yes! Not a typo!! This brewery has a free tasting area where you can sample all the tasty beers they have been working on. October is a great time of year for craft beer in Seattle. This is when the breweries create their beer made with fresh hops. If Fresh Hop Johnny Utah or Fresh Hop Bodhizafa is available, those are a must try. Important Note: They serve tasters and growlers of beer, but not glasses. So this is a great place to try new beers and get a growler to go. But not a place to sit down and have a pint
This is a nice little dock across the water from downtown Seattle that serves Korean/Hawaiian inspired food. This is also the stop for the water taxi. If you wish, you can purchase a ticket and take the water taxi to the downtown waterfront. If you keep going west from here you will find yourself on Alki beach, a good place for a walk on a warm day.
The sand may be imported but the land is in Seattle. This beach is a popular sport for Seattleites in the summer and a great place for a scenic walk on the water.
Want to try our favorite espresso in town? Go here and order the café nico
Want a fun picture to feed to your instagram? Come here and get breakfast with a fun design on your coffee foam. (No need to ask for the art. They just do it)
This is my favorite burger place. Tonkatsu style patties you can get in beef, pork, chicken or veggie put into burgers and combined with Asian flavors. My fav is the chicken curry burger with nori fries and wasabi coleslaw. (Multiple locations & available with Uber Eats)
I am obsessed with this BBQ. I suggest getting the ribs. But everything is great
Probably one of if not the BEST pizza experiences in Seattle! Usually hard to grab a table. But totally worth the wait!! Delancy's has the best Manhattan I have ever had. Even Katrina couldn't stop sneaking sips from my glass.
A fun speak easy that serves great cocktails and Filipino inspired food. It's a small space. So I suggest you make a reservation which can easily be done online an hour beore you decide to go out. Once you arrive just ring the doorbell and someone will open the door to let you in.
Good food, but the small space can make for a wait at this popular spot for locals in Capitol Hill.
The location of our engagement photos. Jack Block Park is one park that feels like three. You can walk 100 feet and feel like you are in a completely different place. It has a grassy garden area, a tiny beach, and a long pier with a nice view of the city.
Gas Works Park named for the old gas works located here. Here you will find a nice grassy area to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Union. The most interesting thing about this park is sea planes frequently take off and land on this lake.
This is a pretty good cafe close to the church. Insider tip, the silverware is in the drawers of the cabinet.
While Seattle native Lewis Carpenter was teaching abroad in what was then called Czechoslovakia when he found this 7 ton, 16 foot statue of Vladimir Lenin laying in the mud. He recognized this as a work of Emil Venkov and believed it should be on display. So upon returning to Seattle he worked with the city to have it transported to the United States and installed in the Fremont neighborhood. If you find yourself in Fremont take a stroll over and check out this oddly placed piece of art.
Underneath the Aurora Bridge you can find this 2 ton 18 ft tall troll made of concrete and rebar. In 1989 the Fremont Council asked for ideas to prevent the drug use that was occurring under this bridge. So they came up with this troll. Yet another quirky piece of art in the odd neighborhood of Fremont (You can climb on it. Just be careful)
This is a multi-tenated complex in the SODO neighborhood. It's an interesting place. There is one brewery and I think seven wineries in this one building. Structure wine is a favorite of both Katrina and myself
Great crepes! But what I really love about this place is how it embraced what many would consider a nuisance. This café is just north of the Boeing field runway. So if you eat outside, you may get a shock when an airplane comes screaming by over head. Very popular spot for the locals.
A great neighborhood café, walking distance from St. Joseph's Church
We frequently have brekkie (breakfast) in this Australian inspired restaurant.
This is a nice diner less than a mile away from our reception venue. Pro tip: Take a look at the side menu for the country or theme they're featuring that month!
Located in Ballard this is a small brewery. But it's my #1 place for good beer.
This location has the most extensive selection of local craft beer, ciders, and wines. They don't serve food. But will allow you to have food delivered to the bar.
Great place for a brunch on Capitol Hill.
Tiny indoor space, but this is a good place to get some local beers
The most extensive selection of craft beers in West Seattle. If you don't see something you want to try on the board for draft beers, you can buy a beer from their massive fridge and they will open it for a $2 opening fee. They welcome outside food so feel free to grab some food and head here to pair your beer. I like getting some food at Dumplings of Fury before heading to Beer Junction
Who doesn't enjoy a good dumpling
The pies are fine. The quiche is the best I have ever had. (Multiple locations)
This is a good cocktail spot. Its got a weird steam punk decor going on inside. But these guys mix some good drinks.
Good place for cocktails if you're in the downtown/Belltown area
Good place to have a picnic with a view located in West Seattle
If you like blown glass we have the Chihuly Glass Garden. A unique garden with blown glass incorporated into it to create an imaginative setting
Museum of Pop is a museum dedicated to Pop culture. The building is an artists interpretation of Jimi Hendrix's burning guitar. Currently their main exhibition is about Marvel Comics
In 1889 Seattle had a great fire destroying much of the city. Instead of repairing the buildings the new city was built on top of old buildings. This tour takes you through interconnected tunnels through an old and forgotten part of Seattle.
