Katrina and I met at our first job opportunity as nurses. We worked at a skilled nursing facility in West Seattle. Although we worked in the same building, initially we were in different units, and barely talked to each other. Our first conversation involved me asking her for a suppository because we didn't have any on my floor. What ended up bringing us closer together was a change in policy (how romantic) that transferred me to her unit. For the next year we worked together side by side helping each other through the stress of our jobs. We would bring each other an extra lunch for the extra hours when the other would pull a double shift. Katrina would later tell me she only wore makeup on days I worked. We grew closer as we spent more time together, and began dating. During this time I learned what is truly valuable in a relationship. Katrina is sweet, loving and supportive. With only hugs and kisses she can calm my nerves on even the most stressful day. She looks out after me and I look out after her, and we know we will always be there for each other. That is why I decided to make her my wife. On January 1st 2018 just after midnight I asked Katrina to be my wife during our trip to Australia. We are so excited to start our new lives as husband and wife. We cannot wait to share our union with you! - Katrina & Nathaniel
If you have ever worked with Nathaniel you know that when he's at work he is 100% focused. He's the type that comes in 15 minutes before the start of shift to get things organized. While at work Nathaniel is completely focused on work, and nothing and no one else. At first it was hard to befriend him or get him to hang out outside of work. But one day Nathaniel agreed to go watch Star Wars with me.. haha yes I asked! And that led to more hangouts like karaoke night with friends and a trip out to the snow to teach me how to snowboard and the rest was history! Nathaniel has incredible patience. He loves and accepts me for all that I am.. every single part of me. Yup just like that "All of Me" John Legend song. As Nat would say “we’re just two weirdos that love each other”. When Nat proposed during our New Year’s trip to Sydney I was in complete shock! He has been trying to throw me off saying that he’ll probably propose in the summer. I kept hinting and asked, “when it's summer in Australia”? Haha! He shut me down quick and would always say “no!” And so I took that completely out of mind. I was so surprised when Nat popped the question my initial reaction was “what??” He got me good! I am looking forward to a lifetime of dancing when there's no music, making weird silly faces, and exploring with my best bud.
