Things To Do

Here are a few of our favorite spots and easy things to do while you’re on the island.

Wander Around Parikia

Parikia is easy to explore on foot, and there’s plenty to see just by walking around. The old town has narrow stone streets, small shops, and quiet corners that are nice to wander through. It’s a good place to grab a coffee, browse, or just take your time without needing a plan.

Visit the “Church of 100 Doors”

Just a short walk from the harbor in Parikia is Panagia Ekatontapiliani — it’s one of the oldest churches in Greece!

Beaches Near Parikia

Parikia Beach and Livadia Beach are both super close and perfect for a relaxed beach day. If you want something more “wow,” Kolymbithres and Golden Beach are an easy ride away.

Explore a Village or Two

Lefkes is a little mountain village with quiet streets and great views — perfect for a slow wander. Naoussa is more lively, with restaurants right on the water and a picturesque harbor that feels straight out of a postcard. We've stayed in Naoussa and visited Lefkes, both being an absolute must see!

Take a Boat Trip

One of the best things you can do here is hop on a boat for the day. There are lots of small-group catamaran or sailing trips that take you around the coast and even over to Antiparos. Clear water, swimming coves, and lunch on board — it’s a really fun way to spend a day.

Day Trip to Antiparos

If you have a free afternoon, Antiparos, a small island right next to Paros, is an easy little adventure. You can catch a small boat directly from Parikia (the main port), which takes about 30 minutes. There’s also a much faster ferry from Pounta (on the west side of Paros) — the ride only takes 7 minutes. The Pounta-Antiparos ferry runs very frequently, especially in summer (about every 20–30 minutes). Tickets from Parikia are around €5 one way, for the Pounta route, tickets are really cheap — around €1.30–€1.50 for adults. Just a heads up: you usually buy tickets in cash when you board.
