Maid of Honor
Katie is the older sister I never had and the third daughter my parents never had. While there are several favorite memories I could share, one of my favorite was one of our first trips to Rehobeth Beach where I found out Katie loved the ocean as much as I did, but did not quite have the same wave riding and diving skills I did. It was one day after a hurricane had just passed and I have never seen bigger waves, to the point where lifeguards warned us not to go in, but if you know Katie that didn't phase her. One of the biggest waves to ever hit Rehobeth beach appeared... I dove hoping for the best to turn around and find Katie beached on shore, bathing suit off, hair everywhere laughing uncontrollably. There is truly never a dull moment with Katie and I can't wait to be by her side!
Maid of Honor
There’s never a dull moment when we hang out! I️ first met Katie when we were in high school soccer preseason. Classically we both were paired together for Indian Runs (which we despised) as time went on, we both became co-captains which resulted in the team doing less running. Fast forward 10 years, Ty wanted to make sure the two Dana’s were going to be in Cleveland for the engagement, so we had booked tickets in advance. It just so happened Katie was driving back to Cleveland from DC the same day I was suppose too fly out. I️ spent all five hours of her drive back to Cleveland on the phone with her to keep her company while she tried to convince me to come to Cleveland that weekend. Five hours later and inbound I️ come into her apartment ready to congratulate her on her engagement!

I was lucky enough to share the soccer team and a bunkbed with Katie at Ohio Wesleyan University. One of my favorite memories was during freshman year preseason when we were under a strict curfew. Katie snuck out to make what would become our good friends, but freshman me was too scared to break the rules. A few hours later, the seniors came to do room checks and pounded on our door - I was so freaked out that I fell out of the top bunk. Long story short, Katie got in trouble. I thought she might be pissed I didn’t cover well, but all she did was laugh hysterically that I fell out of the bed – and from pretty much that moment we were inseparable. I’m so happy and honored to stand by her side for this big day!

Katie has become one of my very best friends. I wish I could say it was friendship at first sight, but unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. It started in 2012 when I was a senior at Ohio Wesleyan and Katie was a young, reckless, freshman. Naturally, I attempted to haze Katie in all the normal ways, but being her bold self Katie did not take any of my BS, which did not go over well with me. Our strong personalities constantly battled throughout the whole year. We never became friends. Fast forward a few years, Katie moves to Cleveland and we slowly start hanging out and quickly realized the silly emotions in college were not going to carry through into our future friendship. We’ve never looked back. I’m so happy to have Katie as a best friend and to stand by her side on this best day!
Bridesmaid
Katie is my cousin on my moms side and we grew up together in Washington, D.C about 5 blocks away to be exact. If you know anything about our family, you know we treasured Sunday family dinners and weekend lunch & shopping dates with our grandparents. We spent the summers sunbathing and boogie boarding on the beach in Bermuda and trying to play tennis with the men in the family. For as long as I've known her she's always been a wonderful cousin and an even better friend!

Katie is my older cousin on our mom’s side, but is more of a big sister to me. When we were little I used to come over and have sleepovers where she would teach me new gymnastics moves and dress me up in her cool, older kid clothes. As we got older, we started going to Redksins game together in the freezing cold where she turned me into a Skins fan. The best memories we have together is every Thanksgiving weekend, when night time hits for our family that means it’s time to play flashlight tag for hours. The two of us always even today are always running away from base together but not spacing any grace to leave the other behind if we were close to getting caught. Kate has always been someone who I can rely on, look to for advice, and always bring a smile to my face. I love you!
