While Katie and Maggie both attended UK and joined the same sorority, it was not until they moved in together a year after graduating that the two became so close. Before any boy came into the picture, Maggie and Katie were typically found together. They often reminisce about their sorority/college days, daily post-work vent sessions, weekly trips to Kroger, walks around Hyde Park and Oakley, and getting a much needed bucket of beers at MLT's. When Tom bravely entered a home run by 3 "woo" girls, Maggie quickly welcomed him with opened arms, so much so that she would even include him in the count for her weekly baked goods. Maggie is a big supporter of Katie, whether it’s during a Kentucky Basketball game or a vent session followed by great advice or an honest opinion. If you run into this best friend of the couple, feel free to ask about her running club, the latest reality TV on Bravo, seeing Joe Burrow every other Sunday, and her Fiancé Mitch and main girl Bella.
Harry Schilderink
Best Man
Harry is kid number 8 out of 9 in the Schilderink family (you read that correctly) and closest in age to Tom. While they sometimes battled during childhood (as Brothers do), the two are very close to this day. Some of Tom’s favorite memories to date with Harry include family trips with their Parents, hitting the golf range together, and grilling out at home with Katie, Harry’s Wife Abbi and their 1-year old Daughter, Mila.
Rachel Minrath

Rachel and Katie bonded as roomies their Junior year in the Kappa house. One typically followed the other, and they were often goofing off and giggling over something nobody else quite understood. When thinking of their friendship to date, Katie can't help but be reminded by nights of bar hopping and college date parties, spontaneously driving 4 hours to and back from an Adele concert in Nashville, and watching her excel in Pharmacy school/residency at UK. Katie continues to cherish old memories and also new, including much needed FaceTime calls, sharing of Corgi videos, and most recently standing alongside Rachel as she married her best buddy, Erick. Should you run into this friend of the Bride, please congratulate her on accepting a position at the Cincinnati VA Hospital (and thank her for moving to Katie and Tom's home city).
Charlie Schilderink

Charlie is number 7 of 9 in the Schilderink family tree. When Charlie is not visiting from Montana, you can find him rock climbing, skiing, biking, camping, hiking, hunting… basically anything outside. Some of Tom’s favorite memories to date with Charlie include a scuba driving trip to Cozumel, Mexico together, as well as the most recent time Tom and Charlie crossed the Canada boarder to hit the slopes. If you are looking for a funny conversation with Charlie, ask him how we broke both arms at the same time!
Shannon McBroom

Katie quickly befriended Shannon at her first big girl job back in Cincinnati. Even after the long days of counting the clock down, Katie always looked forward to their eventful happy hours and nights spent over music, a bottle of wine, or a romantic comedy. It was Shannon who sparked Katie's interest in skincare/makeup, hot yoga and pilates, and also a well thought-out Halloween costume. She also recently traded the Ohio River for the Rockies and is a great Plant Mom. Overall, Katie believes her to be one of the sweetest and most caring people she’s ever met and can’t imagine her wedding day without her.
Drew Hart

If you've ever seen Tom and Drew together in person, you know their bromance runs deep. From roaming the halls of St. Xavier High School, living together after college, scuba diving trips and more, Tom and Drew have continued to stay side by side over the years. Should you run into this best friend of the Groom, anything is on the table, from his new home with his wife Kati and two pups, Xavier basketball, country club life, and hunting.
Amelia Schupp

Amelia is the final "woo" girl and former post-college roommate of Katie. During their 3 years of living together, Katie frequently joined Amelia on the dancefloor of MLT's, making runs for McDonald's Diet Cokes, vegging on the famous pastel blue sectional and watching Netflix shows for hours, and sharing lots of giggles. In addition, like the social butterfly she is, Amelia was always the first to bust down a door and say hello to Tom in their Bachelorette Pad. She still greets him with the same hospitality one street over in her home with her husband Adam and dog Stevie. Katie is so grateful for saying yes to an extra 4th roommate that ultimately became a best friend for life.
Jack Gusweiler

Jack is another St. Xavier alum and close friend of Tom. Some of the Groom's favorites trips with Jack include visiting his Parent's Lake House and two scuba trips, including one to Hawaii. Jack is known to be the adventurous traveler of the group and even earned his pilot's license (although nobody has ever seen him fly....). If you cross paths with Jack and his wife Halle at the wedding, ask them about their whirlwind honeymoon exploring Europe!
Shelby Conrad

Often referred to as "Mama", Shelby is Katie's Big to her Little from their dear Kappa days. It was Shelby who first greeted Katie on the lawn outside their sorority house on Bid Day, and ultimately became her best friend and guide throughout college. Katie thanks Shelby for continuing her obsession with Lily Pulitzer and all things preppy (at the time), building up her alcohol tolerance, rubbing her Kentucky slang off on her, and reminding her to not take everything too seriously in life. Their friendship has continued to stay strong despite living 4 hours away from one another and Shelby’s growing family of 2 with her husband Brendan. Katie loves how they always pick up right where they left off in Lexington.
Kevin Hegman

Kevin is also another former Bomber and close friend of the Groom. Kevin, his Fiance Gina, and their dog Bryant are often on the go, from entertaining at home, golfing, hitting the slopes, attending Bengals games, or traveling. The couple enjoy calling Kevin their neighbor only two streets over, and thank him for his years of service as a Paratrooper in the Army.
Annabelle Gardiner

Annabelle is yet another one of Katie’s former sorority sisters from UK. They formed a close bond during their second year of living in the Kappa house. With their bedrooms adjacent from one another, they often touched base over the next Keeneland tailgate, date party pregame, and liking for SpongeBob SquarePants. After graduating they reconnected at Katie’s 25th Birthday Bar Crawl, which was the start of many festive trips between Cincinnati and Lexington over the last few years. When Annabelle and Katie aren’t sharing funny Insta posts or planning the next visit, Annabelle spends her time as a Middle School Teacher, Summer Nanny, CycleBar enthusiast, and Dog Mom of 2 with her boyfriend Joe.
Gus Walter

Is this another high school friend? Yes, but Gus is one of the few to get a close glimpse in Katie and Tom’s relationship. Gus and Tom lived under the same roof for 2 years in Mt. Adams. During that time Katie joined the guys in many activities, from riding Bird scooters around downtown, walking to Reds Baseball games, planning fun dinners, and most memorable - surviving ice storms and COVID. Since moving out, Gus remains a loyal friend to Tom just a few streets over with his Fiance Erin.
