The award winning zoo holds many fond childhood memories for Katie and Tom. And in recent years, Katie has formed an mini-obsession with their famous primi-hippo, Fiona!
Skyline Chili
Katie and Tom would argue that Skyline Chili should be the 8th Wonder of the World. If you're not from here, you might think they're crazy, but the two absolutely love this Cincinnati obsession of chili over noodles. Katie's go-to order is a regular, *juicy* 3-Way, while Tom prefers 2 Chili-Cheese sandwiches with mustard. Don't forget to put hot sauce on your crackers!
Delwood
Katie and Tom believe this place to put out the best burger in Cincinnati. The two frequent this Mount Lookout favorite. Grab a drink next door at Million's Cafe if there's a wait.
Eden Park
During the pandemic, Katie and Tom spent many afternoon breaks at one of Cincinnati's parks. Eden Park, near Tom's former space in Mt. Adams, and Alms Park, which backed up to Katie's condo in Columbia Tusculum, are two of their favorites.
MadTree Brewing
MadTree offers great beers, pizza/salads, and family environment. This is where Katie and Tom met up for their First Date!
Sleepy Bee Cafe - Downtown
This Breakfast & Brunch spot is hip and known for locally sourced items. The downtown location is steps from The Renaissance Hotel. Katie and Tom's favorite breakfast sandwich is The Queen City Bee, with goetta, apple, arugula, a broken yolk egg, signature “nectar” sauce on Sixteen Bricks ciabatta bread.
Crown Republic Gastropub
This was a go-to during Tom's few years living in Mt. Adams next to downtown. They love their homemade pasta (including the gnocchi), creative cocktails, and caesar salad!
Sundry and Vice
With a vintage vibe and inventive drinks, you can't go wrong with an Old Fashioned or Espresso Martini here! Katie and Tom have visited here when in the mood for a crafted cocktail.
Local Post
One of Katie and Tom's go-to restaurants while she was living in Columbia Tusculum. Favorites for the couple include any of their Burgers and Fries with extra Posty Sauce, and Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup.
TQL Stadium
FC Cincy has brought the soccer fan back out in Katie after years of playing. Whether they’re in town or away, the stadium always has an energetic crowd and great drinks and bites!
Cincinnati Museum Center
Another childhood favorite for the couple. There’s always something for everyone here with rotating exhibits.
Fountain Square
Centered in the middle of the downtown business district, this square falls between many shops, restaurants, and hotels.
Losanti
Under the same ownership as Crown Republic, but a tad more elevated! Katie and Tom have enjoyed this vibrant restaurant for special occasions, whether it's over a bottle of wine, shared sides, or individual steaks or pasta dishes.

Longtime hub of vendors selling meat, produce & other local foods, plus a seasonal farmers' market.
Graeter's Ice Cream
Hand crafted French Pot ice cream started in Cincinnati - what else is there to say!? Tom's favorite is Mocha Chip, while Katie either goes for Strawberry or Chocolate.
Carl's Deli
A local favorite to the Hyde Park neighborhood. Katie and Tom are suckers for their Country Club sandwich and delicious sides.
Ichiban
Katie and Tom's go-to spot when they're in the mood for sushi. Their favorite rolls are Shrimp Tempura, Rainbow, Baltimore, JTB, Sunday Morning, the Honey bee, and always extra spicy mayo and soy sauce!
Mazunte Taqueria
The best authentic Mexican street food in town. Be sure to also stop by their location downtown. Whether it's the taco trio, salsas, guacamole, or blue corn quesadilla, you can't go wrong with this favorite for the couple.
