A little ways outside on Charleston, but the drive through Johns Island is beautiful. The wine used is tucked away down a long gravel driveway. The vineyard and Firefly distillery are right next to each other. Enjoy a laidback afternoon with some tasty drinks, animals and soak in the beautiful sights of Johns Island countryside.
Delicious beer and nice breezy rooftop to check out the skyline of Charleston.
Great brunch spot! Will need to make a reservation. Can’t go wrong with the French toast or hot chicken sandwich!
Best brisket this side of Austin... seriously
Great breakfast/lunch spot at the beach. Sit outside and enjoy all the doggie friends!
Plethora of parking. Watch the sunset on the pier, and walk up the Ravenel bridge for even better views of the river and the bridge itself!
Set back off the road, in a little hole in the wall. But great outdoor atmosphere, awesome beer, and some of the best soft pretzels we’ve had outside of Amish country! Try their sour beer!
If you enjoy history and the paranormal, take one of their tours. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable on Charleston’s history.
Beautiful flat beaches, pro golf courses and beautiful scenery to enjoy on your drive. Kiawah Beachwalker Park is available to enter with a small fee per car, and has restrooms, a small concession stand, a boardwalk to the beach and you support our local county parks which are pretty awesome.
A very old oak tree that’s pretty cool to see. But don’t try and climb on it, you will get scolded.
Dive bar full of delicious craft beer and sandwiches. There are two locations, the original place downtown that is our fav dive bar, and a location on James Island that has a plethora of outdoor seating, and a convenient ice cream/bakery shop right next door that’s open late.
We have heard this is the place to go for excellent seafood, but it’s a small venue that usually has a long wait. But sure it’s worth the wait!
Great craft beer. Get a flight, you won’t be disappointed. Also, google the Charleston Ale Trail to see all the breweries in Charleston.
Featured on ‘Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations’ show, they have great BBQ, and opened a location downtown.
Have not eaten here, but have heard good reviews. A modern take on southern food, locally sourcing their ingredients, with an extensive wine and bourbon list.
Lots of trails and beautiful views. One of our favorite places to run!
A beautiful park located along the Cooper River, and adjacent to historic homes once occupied by naval officers. The park is home to the Greater Charleston Naval Base Memorial, erected to honor the military personnel and civilians that served the region while the Charleston Navy Base was in operation. Definitely worth checking out!
