Trailhead and Shuttle information
The trail is called Lonesome Lake Trail and is located in the Lafayette Campground. I-93 runs through Franconia Notch in a one-way fashion. There is overnight parking at Lafayette Campground but fills up quickly. Across I-93 at Greenleaf trailhead (TH) there is overnight parking with a pedestrian tunnel to walk under I-93 to Lonesome Lake TH. This also fills up quickly. Shuttle: Canon Mountain Ski area offers overnight parking with a shuttle that runs to the Lafayette Campground from 8am-8pm on a first come, first serve basis. It is 5$ (cash or credit, no American Express) roundtrip per person but keep your ticket for the ride back.

Call and make a reservation to stay, at the hut, the night before (9/13/24). Friday's dinner and Saturday's breakfast are included in nightly rate. No lunch included. Please take note there are no showers up at the hut if you do choose to stay the night before.
