Dog of Honor
Sadie is Katie and Maja's golden retriever who for reasons that shall not be named (Maja said no) will not be attending the ceremony but will very much be there in spirit running down the aisle, jumping on you, ruining your outfit, and likely eating the cake when no one (everyone) is looking. Why she isn't invited remains a mystery to her but it is our honor and privilege to name her as dog of honor.
Pippa Haggstrom
Cat of Honor
Pippa's aversion to the outside world and her snobbish outlook on barn cats will keep our beloved cat from attending the actual wedding. It is our honor to do her this honor of putting her face on our website and not actually putting you in her presence where she would likely corner you and hiss like she did to Katie in what became the first of many shakedowns before she lovingly accepted her into her life. Pippa asks that you completely ignore our registry and send tuna.
Mr. Victor Bero
Man of Honor
Favorite brother of Katie, no question. All around good dude, connoisseur of German food and 100% the best thing in Florida. Together with 500 adopted Pomeranians, Victor and his wife Cheryl split their time between travels and homes in Tampa and the New Jersey coast.
Mrs. Sarah Schmidt
Matron of Honor
Sarah and Maja say "we do big things together" and have since Miami University. More a sister than a friend, they have shared 20+ years together through college, moving to Chicago, a Cubs World Series Win and all the things that make a life. Sarah, her husband Scott and adorable young boys live just down the street from Fort Bero and they spend their free time (bravely) traveling the globe as a family.
Miss Avery Younger
Flower Girl
If ever there were a little girl made of magic in a way that makes Maja's heart sing, it's Avery. First born of our dear friends Jamie + Ben Younger, she's been a beautiful part of Katie's life (pre Maja) and now together. She is musical in her core, precocious and soulful beyond her years. Avery will surely place every single flower with utmost care and a lil pixie dust as she twirls down the aisle on wedding day.
Master Vinay Noel
Ring Bearer
Vinay is OUR buddy. Technically his parents, Priya and Joe are too, but we're really just here for Vinay. This kid has a heart of gold, killer baseball skills and endless talents. He and Priya live for a prank and tell the best jokes. We've shared wonderful family vacations and holidays together and are absolutely delighted to have him join us (our Lord of the Rings) as we make it official. Fun fact: Vinay will be carrying the same ring pillow cousin Henry Lucid carried for Katie's parent's wedding which makes our hearts so happy! He also said Sadie smells like trash and he is not wrong.
