The Tale of a Bookworm and a Film Buff

In October of 2021, we met on the dating app Hinge! Josh asked Katie for a synopsis of one of her books, and it's been majical ever since. Katie was drawn to Josh's quick wit, sense of adventure, and big heart. Josh was drawn to Katie's comedic timing, creative passions, and kind-hearted soul.

We quickly bonded over being pet parents to Josh's cat, Biggie, and Katie's dog, Joey. We love watching old films in LA's iconic theaters, dressing up for Halloween, finding the best soft-serve ice cream in Los Angeles, and supporting each other in our creative endeavors.

On May 10th, 2024, Josh surprised Katie in her hometown of Ypsilanti, Michigan to propose in front of the city's iconic water tower. We are thrilled to bring the Mattie and Fisher families together.
