We will have transportation provided from the Poe Museum to Triple Crossing for the reception. Additionally, transportation is provided for all of our guests staying at The Graduate Hotel both to the ceremony and back to the hotel after the reception. The first van will leave The Graduate around 4:00 and will make a second trip at 4:30. If you are not staying at The Graduate, since our ceremony and reception are in two different locations, we strongly encourage our guests to Uber or rideshare to and from the festivities so that you can thoroughly enjoy yourselves without worrying about driving home! :) If, however, you do plan on driving, here are some parking details: Unfortunately, the parking lot at the Poe Museum is very small and will be used for vendors only. However, we have reserved the parking lot at the Virginia Holocaust Museum, which is located one block away from the Poe Museum. This lot is ours for the entire evening, including overnight. The Holocaust Museum asks that if you do choose to leave your car overnight, please pick up your vehicle no later than 10AM Sunday morning. Here are some details about how to find the parking lot at the Virginia Holocaust Museum: To get to the lot, drive down Main St. toward the Poe Museum. Once you reach N 20th St. turn toward Cary St. Drive one block down and you will reach a dead end at the flood wall. The lot for the museum is on the left and is clearly marked with a sign on the fence surrounding the lot. For those driving to the reception: There is a large parking lot at the brewery free for you to use. The brewery is very lenient about you leaving vehicles in the lot overnight if needed, but please pick them up the next morning! Make sure that you are traveling to the Fulton location as there are multiple Triple Crossing locations.
Our dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire! Wear something you feel like a million bucks in, but also something comfy enough to bust a move. Dresses, both long and short, are welcome. Feeling a suit? Then wear one! A tux? Definitely not required, but you do you! For our out of town guests, weather in Virginia in October can be unpredictable, so make sure you pack layers for our outdoor ceremony.
You can RSVP here on our website by clicking the RSVP section. Please RSVP by September 14!
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception as an adults-only event with the exception of family. We encourage you to use this evening as a night out for yourself!
Please do not bring a plus one unless specified on your invitation. If you have any questions please reach out to us!
Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be taking place outside at the Edgar Allan Poe Museum. Our reception will be held indoors at Triple Crossing Brewery (the Fulton location).
We so appreciate you wanting to send us something special for our big day! While physical gifts are incredibly thoughtful, we already have most of the things that we need. We have put together a small registry, which you can find underneath our "registry" tab. We also welcome and appreciate contributions to our featured fund on our registry, which will help us as we set up future plans as a married couple!
At our cocktail hour, we will have signature cocktails inspried by Katie and Jackson as well as a small selection of beer and wine. At the reception, we will be providing Triple Crossing beer and a selection of wine throughout the evening! We will also have appetizers and pizza cooked in Triple Crossing's wood-fire oven, with options for both our vegan and gluten free friends. Dancing, beer, and 'za! What more could you want? :)
