Katie grew up 4-5 hours north in Birmingham, AL, so she has frequented the Gulf Coast since childhood. It also helps that her parents recently retired to Gulf Shores, AL :) But more importantly, the ocean was the foundation of Forrest and Katie’s relationship! They find that being near water brings on a sense of peace, happiness and adventure. What better setting to celebrate their wedding than being near the beach!
Unpredictable! We were in the area last year at the same time, and a few of the days we were in shorts and short sleeves. It was sunny & 70* on New Years Day allowing for a comfortable swim in the Gulf. But a few days later, we were bundled up in jackets and blankets.
Your kiddos are welcome to join, but we will not have designated food or entertainment for them.
We want you to feel comfortable in anything from casual to cocktail. Feel free to wear your favorite aloha shirt or your sparkliest NYE flare. The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting), and the reception will be indoors.
