Ceremony followed by reception. We will not have the wedding venue through midnight, so the reception will end early enough for people to reconvene for the countdown to the new year.
10:00 pm
If you would like to continue celebrating, we will have shuttles at the wedding venue to bring us to a bar called Sandshaker — there will be a live band and no cover charge. This bar is located at The Wharf, which is having a big street party event with other live bands, a “marlin drop” and fireworks at midnight. The shuttle will be a one-way ride to The Wharf. Rest assured there are Ubers, Lyfts, and the shuttle company, Coast Cab, also runs as a taxi that you can call for a ride home. You are allowed to leave a car parked overnight at the wedding venue in the south lawn upon entering from Canal Rd.
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
A fun party on the beach with a swim in the Gulf of Mexico at noon. If you get in the water, you receive a ticket for a free draft beer + a traditional Southern New Year’s Day lunch (ham, black-eyed peas, greens, cornbread). *This is a popular event — parking can be crazy. Prepare to parallel park along Perdido Beach Boulevard and walk to the Flora Bama.* Group theme: ALOHA/HAWAIIAN SHIRTS
