For the wedding, the dress code is cocktail attire - short or long dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or jackets with slacks. Feel free to take inspiration from our color palette and Pinterest board (www.pinterest.com/katiecarlos26/carlos-katie-wedding-colors/), or join Katie and Carlos in wearing gold accents/jewelry - though it’s not required! Please dress for the weather, as parts of the evening will take place outdoors (weather permitting). For the welcome party, please come in casual attire: sundresses, capris, dressy shorts, relaxed collared shirts, and nice sneakers or sandals are all great choices. We’ll be outdoors in a backyard setting, so please dress comfortably.
The ceremony and dinner portions of the evening will take place outdoors in the back patio of our venue (not on grass). Please dress comfortably for the weather. In case of rain or severe weather, the ceremony and dinner may be moved inside.
All invited guests are listed on your invitation envelope (and will be visible when you RSVP under your name). Unfortunately, we're not able to accommodate additional plus ones or guests due to limited space at our venue. Thank you for understanding.
All wedding events are just a short walk from the hotel blocks listed, so no transportation will be provided. If you prefer not to walk, please utilize taxi or ride share services.
NYC can feel overwhelming, but we promise it’s lots of fun! Be sure to check out the Travel tab for information on getting into the city, parking, and accommodations. If you stay at one of our hotel blocks, all wedding events will be within just a few minutes’ walk. If you’re planning to spend extra time exploring, visit our Things To Do tab for a map and our favorite recommendations. When getting around the city, plan for extra travel time, wear comfortable shoes, and don’t be afraid to use public transportation—it’s often the fastest way around. NYC is a busy place, so we recommend making reservations for dining and activities when possible (though it’s not necessary everywhere). While NYC is one of the safest cities in the country, we encourage guests to use common sense: stay aware of your surroundings, keep personal belongings secure, and stick to well-lit, populated areas in the evening. Your hotel staff will be a great resource once you arrive, or feel free to text Carlos or Katie with any questions while planning your trip. We’re so excited you’re making the journey to celebrate with us!
