Matron of Honor
Susan is Katie's older sister. While they didn't always get along growing up (Katie loved to "borrow" Susan's clothes without asking), their wardrobe-related battles are a thing of the very distant past. Katie and James visit Susan and her husband Taylor in Raleigh so often, Susan's 2 year old son Emerson affectionately refers to their guest room as "Kate's room." Susan's #2 is due July 2019, and Katie is very excited to have another little Wilson to celebrate with at the wedding!
Man of Honor
Jim is Katie's older brother, and the eldest of the three Baker kids. Katie and Jim have always been close, and most would probably say they have similar intellects and senses of humor. They also share a love of all things UNC (particularly basketball!) and Katie is very grateful that Jim and his family give her a wonderful reason to visit Chapel Hill on a regular basis. Jim and his wife Emily have two extremely cute kids you will no doubt see coming down the aisle in some form or fashion at the wedding.
Best Man
David is James' older brother, and one of James' best friends. David and James both went to Flagler College together, backpacked Europe together, and have become even closer the past few years. David and James share a passion for the outdoors, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and spending time together. When he's not busy being James' best man, David can be found in Jacksonville, FL with his wonderful wife, Sierra, and two daughters.
Groomsman
James and Sean met by fate on the very first day of their respective Pacific Crest Trail journeys last April, and instantly became great friends. While you may think they may not have known each other long enough to be super close, think again -- imagine spending 24 hours a day hiking a rigorous trail with the same 4 clothing items with someone for 6 months. When Katie joined James on trail for two weeks over the summer, she became great friends with Sean as well. It's only fitting he stand beside us atop a mountain on our wedding day!
Officiant
Frank and Katie met at UNC in Fall 2008 before heading to London together to study abroad in Spring 2009. Over the ten years that have since passed, Frank and Katie became best friends over their shared love of travel, art, champagne, and good food. Once James was in the picture, Frank and James became great friends too, and it was ultimately James who decided that Frank would be the perfect person to marry them in front of all their loved ones.
