Travel Note
Please check the most up to date travel requirements for entry into Colombia, as they may change. The US Embassy Covid-19 Information Link is available here: https://co.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/. There is a walk-in Covid testing center on the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency. You can get same-day results for ~$30 USD. We recommend booking an appointment with them if you are needing to get tested to return to the US.
Travel Note
There is a taxi stand right as you exit the airport. Taxi's are cash only, and so I recommend you bring some USD (10's or 20's) to exchange at the airport for your cab fare. There is an exchange window at the airport. Cab fare anywhere you want to go should not exceed $15-$20USD. Make sure you have the exact address of your hotel/Airbnb, along with a map screenshot of the cross street on your phone, available for your cab driver. Uber's operate in Colombia, but I don't know how passenger pickup works with Uber at CTG.
Hotel
If you are not staying in the walled city, this is our preferred place to stay. There are beautiful ocean views, a great pool setup on multiple levels, and is a short 5-10 minute taxi to the walled city.
Travel Note
It is strongly recommended that your passport is valid for 6 months from the date of entry into Colombia. Renewing your passport can take up to *8 weeks*, and you are able to renew it as early as 9 months prior to expiration via USPS or Fedex. Expedited services can get expensive if you need a faster turnaround time.

Staying within the Walled City, Bocagrande, or Getsemani will be the most convenient locations to stay. El Laguito is a bit far, with taxis taking about 10-15 mins to get to the wedding activities, versus the 5-10 minutes if you stay in Bocagrande or Getsemani.
Travel Note
Local taxis typically cost ~10,000 COP (equivalent of ~$3USD) to get from Boca Grande/El Laguito to the old city. Travel to/from Rafael Nunez Airport is about ~20,000 COP. Ubers are also very easy to get and equally affordable if you have your international roaming plan turned on.
Travel Note
The exchange rate is about $1 USD: $4700 COP; exchanging your USD at a bank will get you the most favorable rate, versus taking it to an exchange counter. There are Bancolombia's scattered around the city, and also conveniently in the Hyatt Regency's shopping center next door on the ground floor.
