When should I arrive?

Answer

Official Wedding Events begin Thursday, September 1, 2022. We suggest you arrive in Lezzeno by Wednesday night or early Thursday morning to enjoy the full day Thursday with us on the lake. For more information on how to get to and from the airport, please visit the Travel & Accommodations page.

Are kids invited to the Reception?

Unfortunately, as the venue is small, we can only accommodate the children of immediate family and infants. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Our wedding will be a small, intimate ceremony, and only those who are closest to us will be in attendance. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer it was just you as the venue space is very limited.

What is the difference between Lake Attire vs. Summer Formal Attire?

Answer

Lake attire: You’re on Lake Como, so dress up! Think sundresses, button down shirts, sports jackets, etc. with a nice pair of slacks. Summer Formal Attire: Suits and cocktail dresses.

Can I enjoy the sundeck, kayaks, SUPs, if I am staying at another hotel?

Answer

Yes, you can, but do note that there is a fee for those who are not staying at the hotel. Please contact the hotel directly for any inquires.

Do I need to make a reservation to wakeboard, waterski, or wake surf?

Answer

Reservations are not required, however, they are advised if you want to partake in these activities at a certain time. Do I need to bring my wakeboard?

Answer

Nope! JRC has many wakeboards and life vests to borrow.

You keep mentioning narrow streets, is it safe?

Answer

The main street in Lezzeno is very narrow. Whether you are a pedestrian or a driver, you often have to share the road with not only cars but also large buses. Most drivers are generally considerate but some do zoom by on the roads, so please just be be very mindful when you are walking and always look both ways when you cross the street.

What is the weather like in September?

Answer

The weather in September is arguably the best time of year (in our opinion). The water is warm and the sun is typically shining compared to wetter months like May or June. It is also the end of summer, so it is less humid than July and August. Heavy jackets aren't needed but do pack a light sweater as you are going to be on the water and temperatures drop at night.

What is the Jolly Racing Club (JRC)?

Answer

JRC is the wakeboarding club affiliated with the hotel. Some of Italy's top wakeboarders train at JRC. All hotel guests of Aurora have access to the sundeck, use of kayaks, SUP, etc. For non-hotel guests, JRC grants access to use of the sundeck, kayaks, SUP, etc. for a daily fee. As an alternate mode of transportation to the ferry or buses, they also offer a boat transfer service in the event you'd like a private transfer to a town across the lake (e.g. Tremezzo or Lenno).
