Having visited multiple times alone almost every year since 2014, Lezzeno has become a second home to Katherine—a place to rejuvenate one’s soul. While the beauty of Lake Como can capture anyone’s heart, it is the community at Hotel Villa Aurora that first captured Katherine’s. In 2018, Katherine and Nicholas visited together for the first time and let’s just say, everyone was excited to see a handsome, dashing man finally by her side. "We were paired as dive buddies when I first moved to Singapore. I hate being underwater and I had to literally trust him with my life off the bat. During our open water test, I accidentally drank a carbonated drink not thinking that the air would expand as we descended to the ocean floor. As my chest felt like it was about to explode, I was about to give up but then Nick grabbed my hand, looked at me sternly underwater, and held me down so that we would both pass and get our dive certifications. From then, he wouldn't stop hanging out with me so I figured he'd be a good parter outside the water as well." - Kathy "I was introduced to Kathy before she even set foot in Singapore. Excited to welcome someone new to my second home and show her around, I messaged her the day she arrived – “Let me know if you need anything!” It would be a while longer until we'd actually meet in person and I could immediately tell that she was a force to be reckoned with. Pairing together as scuba diving partners was the true catalyst for us to get to know each other on a deeper level. The inherent trust and teamwork of the “buddy system” has become our ethos and the first true “get-to-know-you” sunset chat on that beginner dive trip is now shared across our many travels.
