Katie met Kristen while student teaching at GBE in 2013. Over the years, they shared multiple buddy classes, coached Girls on the Run, and got to know each other outside of the classroom. Katie’s favorite memories with Kristen include girls’ nights (either dancing at Whitlows/ Clarendon Grill or Bachelor Mondays), the Medieval Festival, game nights, and their trip to Europe. Matt and Ryan met back in late high school / early college years. Their friendship was severely damaged when Ryan ate all of Matt’s frozen egg rolls without asking, but that’s all water under the bridge now.

(Which is where the nickname Giff was born) You know it’s the right Katie if: -Redhead -Also goes by “Giff” -Loves country music -Loves her Jeep, the Penguins & Steelers -always down for road trips & spontaneous adventures -outside running or tanning Photo is from Katie & Giff’s first trip to Myrtle Beach. After seeing a free Dan & Shay concert on the boardwalk, they ran into the band at a local bar and ended up hanging with them all night

Ryan and Sam met freshman year of college at JMU. Living in the same dorm they encouraged one another to be on time for class and to not stay out extremely late. After graduation they shared a townhouse together in Arlington, VA. It was during this time that Ryan would meet Katie.

Katie met Alexis through Kristen, when they were roommates. One of Katie’s favorite memories with Alexis was nights spent at their townhouse for Bachelor Mondays, Sunday Fundays, and girls nights in ordering takeout. Tyler was originally introduced to Ryan by his brother, Cory. Cory bluntly stated “Ryan, you are either going love Tyler or hate him.” Obviously things worked out. Cory now says, “I should have never introduced these two.”
