We kindly ask that no black be worn to our wedding ceremony. This is an age-old omen of bad luck! Please do not wear white, as that color is reserved for the bride. Sticking with Watch Hill traditions, our wedding will be "Summer Cocktail" attire. Watch Hill was created a summer enclave where men and women could let their hair down, hang their tuxes and ballgowns up and walk barefoot in the sand. So while you may know that we love a formal event, we ask that our guests ascribe to the less traditional Watch Hill tradition and wear summery cocktail/maxi dresses, suits or slacks and a blazer. Jacket and tie for men.
Our events will be adults-only, we kindly ask that you make prior arrangements for childcare.
Contact Katherine and George as soon as possible to assist in securing a guest mooring at the WHYC. Launch service is included in our guest moorings from 8am-8pm.
If only your name is listed and you are wondering if you have a guest, unfortunately you do not. Traditionally, if provided with a guest, it would say your name “and guest” on the front of the envelope. We have not provided any blind plus ones and have extended invitations to those couples we personally both know well, are engaged or married.
Both the ceremony and reception have limited parking available. The Golf Club has many more spaces if you'd like to park there and carpool down to the Chapel! Where possible, we ask that you carpool with friends and family as Ubers and taxis in Westerly are unreliable.
We will be offering transportation to the after party and dropping off afterwards at the main Westerly hotels. We have have limited transportation available for guests from the Chapel to the Golf Club and from the Golf Club to select Westerly hotels for those not taking part in the after party. Please reach out to Katherine and George if you are in need of transportation.
