Nuptial Mass
The Traditional Latin Mass has been a steady anchor in our spiritual lives and an important part of our formation as a couple. Its reverence, silence, and continuity with centuries of worship have shaped how we pray and how we hope to build our life together. Celebrating our wedding in this tradition places our marriage within something larger than we could create on our own.
The ceremony has two parts: the Wedding Rite, where we exchange vows, and the Nuptial Mass, our first Mass as husband and wife. Most prayers are in Latin, and the priest faces the altar alongside the people. Our vows and the homily will be in English.
Holy Communion is offered to Catholics kneeling and on the tongue at the altar rail.
Booklets with English translations and notes on the order of the Mass will be available. We know many guests may not be familiar with this liturgy and that is more than okay! Please know we are deeply grateful for your presence with us on this special day.
