The Frying Pan out of Basalt is home to "gold medal waters." There is also great fishing up and down the Crystal River. Taylor Creek is one of many guide service options in the area.
Rumored to be the most photographed place in Colorado, this is a full-day hike or a 1/2 day ATV trip. There are ATV rental companies in Marble if that sounds like fun. Keep in mind that there is a lot of ATV traffic on the weekends.
There are many hiking options and this is an absolutely beautiful time of year. A few of our favorites are the Raggeds Trail and the Yule Creek Trail. Coal Basin is an especially stunning place for a drive and a stroll. (This is also where Luke works in the summer.)
This is the best hot spring option in the area... and the most difficult to get into. Reserve ASAP! This is also a lodging option.
Another hot springs opportunity in Glenwood Springs. They also require reservations but you can usually get in if you book the day before or day of.
Rent paddleboards and hang out on Beaver Lake in Marble!
Redstone is a small, historic town with antique shops, a pretty riverfront park, a general store with coffee and snacks, and a pizza restaurant.
This is the closest golf course to the wedding venue.
Kebler Pass is home to the second largest living organism in the world, an Aspen grove. People come from all over the world to photograph it in the fall. There is primitive camping up there and on the other side of the pass is Crested Butte.
