Travel Note
To start, fly into Detroit, rent a car and hop on I-75, you’ll be on here until crossing the bridge. Don’t forget the OBP (Obligatory Bridge Pic!) Once on the other side of the bridge, you’ll get off in St. Ignace. If you left at 6 AM, now’s the time to stop at the McDonalds off of US - 2, I swear that’s the best one in the country. Take US-2 West to Blaney park, if your dad and uncle are needing some smoked fish though, you’ll have to stop at Gustafson’s and pick that and some jerky up! Make a right onto M-77 to Seney, make a left onto 28 Once on 28, this is the start of the infamous Seney Stretch. Make sure you’ve got some music downloaded because service through here is incredibly spotty. If you’re my parents make sure to have a tire blow out on the camper you’re towing here and not have a spare. You’ll take this up to Marquette and get some really cool views of Superior, if not in a rush you can make a stop in Au Train and hunt for agates! Now in Marquette you’ll get onto 41 and are 2ish hours away from Houghton! There’s not much to do on this section, but wish that you were closer. Chassell will come first and you’re about 20 minutes out! Then Michigan Tech and you’ve arrived! Now head to the DT and get some Garlic Parm wings, a Diet Captain and Coke, and break out the water proof playing cards and try to beat Madi at a game of Rummy!
