This is where Eric surprised me with an engagement party the night he proposed - so needless to say, we're both pretty big fans! It's conveniently located down the road from where our ceremony will be held, so stop in for a drink before heading to cocktail hour!
KC'S MARINA POINTE
Marina Pointe is an outdoor open bar & grill with live music. It's located right on the Ohio river downtown & a must-see before leaving!
Chaser's Bar & Grill
A personal favorite of ours for brunch & mimosas! Chaser's has great food and offers indoor or outdoor balcony seating. The late night music always makes for a fun time, so if you're not partied out after the reception, make your way to Chaser's!
Bud's Rockin' Country Bar & Grill
Right across the street from Chasers, Bud's Rockin' Country Bar & Grill is exactly what it sounds like. If you're looking for a good time with live music and great food, this is where you'll want to be!
The Rooftop
Another one of our favorite brunch spots with the best bottomless mimosas! The only place around where you can eat and drink with a great view of the Evansville skyline. And if the weather doesn't allow for rooftop seating, they've got plenty of seating on their lower level covered patio as well.
Entwined Wine & Cocktail Bar
This little wine bar gives big city vibes! This is one of my favorite places to take my mom when she visits. They've got an impressive list of wines, cocktails, and charcuterie boards for you to enjoy inside or out.
Gerst Bavarian Haus
Gerst Haus is a German restaurant & bar on Franklin Street, and a local favorite! Stop by while you're here to get one of their giant frozen fishbowls and try their authentic German food!
El Charro Mexican Restaurant
The BEST hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant around, at least in our opinion! Eric introduced me to this place a few years back, and it's one of our favorite places to go for a quick and easy date night.
Bally's Evansville
Chances are you'll notice Bally's lit up on the riverfront as you're driving through Evansville. The newly renovated casino has lots to offer including restaurants, bars, and a new Sportsbook!
The Riverfront
If you feel like taking a stroll while in town, there's a nice brick paved sidewalk all along the riverfront downtown, and tiered seating down to the Ohio river.
"The Bowl"
Eric coaches high school football for Evansville Mater Dei & The Bowl is their home field, shared alongside the public school Reitz. The stadium is 101 years old and was named the #1 high school football stadium in Indiana. The atmosphere on a Friday night is unmatched!
Bosse Field
Bosse Field is where the movie A League of Their Own was filmed! It's the 3rd oldest baseball stadium still in regular use, and it's home to the Evansville Otters.
USS LST-325 & Memorial
If you're into history, you can schedule a tour of the USS LST-325 - the only operational LST in WWII configuration afloat in US waters. It's located in the Ohio River, right across the street from Bally's downtown. There's also the LST-325 Museum & Visitor Center for souvenirs.
