Multnomah Falls
A quick and easy trip! Take a short walk up to the base of the falls or keep going and explore the trails beyond. Coffee, treats and a souvenir shop at the entrance gives this short stop something for everyone. Multnomah Falls is on the way from Portland to Hood River and is absolutely worth the stop if you are choosing to drive!
The Gorge White House
A lovely stop for cider, wine, food, flowers and more. Roam through a small part of the orchard with Mt. Hood as your backdrop! We love to sit at the picnic tables out back.
pFriem Family Brewers
An all-around brewery with something for everyone. Delicious food, too! Walk off your buzz with an amble down to the park across the street that's on the edge of the Columbia River.
Ron Tonkin Field
It wouldn't be Tyler's wedding without some sort of baseball! In a twist of fate, his Vancouver Canadians (Blue Jays) are visiting the Hillsboro Hops (Diamondbacks) at Ron Tonkin Field in Hillsboro - that's 20 minutes west of Portland - for six games Tuesday-Sunday.
Cannon Beach
The perfect little PNW coastal beach town. We've been here for dates, with family, and to introduce Rosie to the ocean. An incredibly scenic drive there and back, too.
Timberline Lodge
Dating from the 1930s, this mountainside ski resort in the Mt. Hood National Forest serves as a breathtaking spot for lunch, dinner, drinks, or a hike. You can hike portions of the PCT and ski year-round. Timberline Lodge is also notable for serving as the exterior of the hotel in The Shining.
