It's a quaint town on the edge of the Columbia River that's a one hour drive from Portland, OR. Our wedding venue is 20 minutes from the village square into the Mt. Hood foothills.
We're going with "garden party formal" as the suggested dress code. Look good, feel good, celebrate good! Gowns and tuxedos aren't required, but a chic dress or smart suit (tie optional) would be perfect. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will flow both in and out of the Apple House; a light jacket for after the sun goes down might be useful for those from warmer climes.
We want to have this day to celebrate with our closest friends and family. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP online. We thank you for understanding!
Due to venue limitations and the party we've planned, with the exception of immediate family, our wedding will be an adults-only event. If you're coming from out of town and can't make it unless your children travel with you, we will have childcare available for the ceremony and reception. Please let us know in advance!
No hotel room blocks are available in the greater Hood River area, but the hotels in town have assured us that individual rooms are still plentiful for the weekend of our wedding. The town is especially popular in the summer, so act quickly to reserve a room (or a vacation rental). Check out the Travel tab for lodging options.
Parking is available at the farm. There will also be a bus bringing wedding guests to the venue; it will pick up at the Columbia Cliff Villas hotel at 3:00 p.m. and at the Riverview Lodge just a few minutes after the first pick-up. The shuttle will depart the venue to head back to those two locations just after 10:00 PM.
Yes! We fell in love with MHOF from the moment we saw it and knew it had to be the place for our special day. They do weddings on the weekends and produce high-quality organic produce during the week.
