Obviously, there was no better person for the job than Kate's older sister and built in best friend, Jacq. While growing up, Kate tried to do everything the exact opposite as Jacq, but that only led to them living in DC together (even in the same house for some time) for nearly 6 years. Even though Jacq and her husband James moved to Buffalo, Kate and Jacq talk for an abnormal amount on a daily basis, even if it's just for Kate to see their dog Kiwi. The two of them often come with a volume warning (mostly from laughing or singing) when they get together, but luckily Greg and James have learned to tune them out.
Nick Dinh
Best Man
Nick and Greg met when Greg moved into his freshman dorm at Virginia Tech and it turned into a friendship almost instantly. Both of them lived together for two more years at school until Nick graduated and moved back to DC. Even with the distance apart, they stayed in touch and visited each other regularly. Nick played a major role in Greg moving to DC after graduation and now they, along with Kate and Nick’s wife Emma, enjoy hanging out with each other all over DC.
Carlie Haddad
Bridesmaid
Carlie and Kate met at Miami University sophomore year on the club volleyball team. Since then, Kate and Carlie have spent endless holidays, vacations, celebrations, phone calls, and visits with each other. They love sharing every minuscule detail about their lives with one another and hardly let time go by without seeing each other. Conveniently, Kate and Greg see Carlie and her fiance, Austin, (who, by the way, are getting married two weeks after Kate and Greg) on the regular both in Chicago and in DC.
Noah Blake
Groomsman
Noah and Greg met in high school when Noah was 15 and Greg was 17. They met through a mutual friend and the interaction at first was slightly awkward. But as the two of them got to know each other more, the more they became friends. Even with the age gap and going to different colleges, they’ve stayed in touch through the years. Now they enjoy complaining about the Steelers, while also betting for them, and of course talking about anything that comes to mind.
Madeline Pierce
Bridesmaid
Kate and Madeline have been two peas in a pod since they met sophomore year at Miami University on the club volleyball team. They instantly bonded over a shared love for the Office, Parks and Rec, and New Girl, and sometimes exclusively communicate in direct quotes from the shows. Despite living in Chicago, Kate and Greg always manage to come for a visit to spend time with Madeline and her husband (who just so happens to also be one of our best friends) Colin, even if to sit around and do nothing all day.
Brandt Ruszkiewicz
Groomsman
Brandt and Greg have known each other for almost 20 years, ever since Greg moved to a new school in 3rd grade. Brandt was the smartest, and for the most part the funniest, person Greg has ever met and to this day is still exactly the same. Both of them routinely catch up over late night video game sessions which almost always result in hours of laughing.
