FAQs

Questions? See below. We'll add more detail about RSVP information and timeline once we send our invitations.
Question

Is there a Pittsburgh Cookie Table?

Answer

It wouldn't be a wedding in Pittsburgh without a cookie table. Those who are so inclined can bake or buy cookies to have during the reception (absolutely not a requirement!). Cookies can be delivered to the Heinz loading dock on Wednesday (10/29) at 1pm or Friday (10/31) at 5pm. If you can only deliver them on the day of the wedding, please make sure you find Shelby (our wonderful wedding coordinator) to pass them off to. Loading Dock Instructions – The loading dock is located on the side of the building near the corner of 12th Street + Smallman Street (next to the restaurant Eleven). This street is one-way so you will have to circle the building if driving from Smallman Street. When you arrive you will see two large green doors, please pull your car in front of the two dock doors. Please call the Security team at 412-454-6311 so they can notify the events team of your arrival. The events team will then come to open the dock doors + will provide flatbed carts to make the delivery process easier. Please make sure to point out any cookies you would like refrigerated!

Question

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

In lieu of a formal rehearsal dinner, we will be hosting a Welcome Party for all of those invited to the wedding on Friday, October 31st at Cinderlands. The Welcome Party will be inclusive of dinner and drinks.

Question

What's the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

If you are staying at either the Hampton Inn or AC Hotel, you will absolutely be able to walk to the venue (less than 500 feet). Otherwise, there is pay-for-parking at the Hampton Inn lot, or you can uber. A bus will provide transportation to and from the after party event, looping between Mullaney's and the hotels.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Kids and caretakers are welcome to come to the Welcome Party the night before.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are! You can click on the "registry" tab at the top to view our full registry.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Please see the "travel" section of the website to book under the Hampton Inn block of rooms. The wedding party and family will be staying at the AC Hotel, so feel free to book at the regular rate there. There are also several other hotels nearby.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Heinz History Center does not have it's own parking facilities. They recommend any of the following nearby lots: 11th and Smallman Street Lot (Hampton Inn), Convention Center Garage, Grant Street, or Transportation Center Garage that have their own fees. 13th and Smallman Street Lot

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we need to stick to a strict guest count. If you are granted a plus-one or an additional guest, it will explicitly state it on your save the date envelope and later under the RSVP request.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All of the welcome party and wedding day events will be held completely indoors, with an option to step outside as needed.
