This is THE PLACE to eat if you enjoy Thai food. Located right across from the main gate onto the Joint Base, Gavin will often eat here 5+ times a week and even sometimes twice in one day if Kate has FOMO. The owner and her staff are absolutely incredible.
No matter the weather, a walk on the beach is a must. We got engaged around station 54 on IOP and love to take our dog Rosie on walks here regularly. Our first date was a beach walk on Sullivan's Island, but it was maybe the coldest/windiest day in Charleston history and Kate was so embarrassed(and cold). Gavin says he didn't mind... So if you're braving the cold to walk the beach, come prepared. I promise it's worth it.
After the coldest beach walk ever, we got lunch here on our first date! They do a pick 2 option where you can get a half sandwich, cup of soup, or a salad! Highly recommended after a beach walk, especially if it is chilly outside.
The Aquarium located in downtown Charleston, highlights species that share South Carolina with us! Its so special to learn about the biomes that surround us and impact us directly. Kate's favorite exhibit is the Saltmarsh with the Roseate Spoonbills! Gavin's favorite exhibit is Large Ocean Tank and seeing the large versions of fish he likes to fish for.
Can you beat Kate and Gavin? They were unable to escape The Witch's Attic in time!! Located along the famous Charleston Market, make sure to make a reservation just in case! They have lots of room options for all experience levels!
