Dear Friends & Families, We understand there may be concerns for traveling or attending our wedding this summer. Therefore, here is some insight on how we have tried our best to ensure everyone's health, wellness, and happiness on our big day as well as following NYS guidelines! We hope this answers some questions during uncertain times. -Strict guestlist...sorry no more crashing the party! -All guests entering from the same entrance to ensure that guest list and contact tracing -Event is completely outside. Therefore, a negative COVID test is not necessary beforehand -Hand sanitizers throughout the venue. Our venue will be adhering to all NYS laws. -Masks worn while standing and especially at the bar -Socially distanced areas and encouraged during dancing -RSVP will be done virtually through our website Guest List & Invitation Information: Save the Dates for our postponed wedding date were sent out before we really knew much details. Therefore, after taking everything into consideration, we have decided to shorten our guest list to ensure everyone's health, wellness, and NYS guidelines. Formal invitations will be going by the second week of May. We will be asking our guests to RSVP online via our website. Therefore, this may mean that your envelope may be addressed a little differently. If you do not receive an invitation, we appreciate your support and understanding. Sending you our best! Love, Kate & Jeremy
After all the uncertainty and in order to keep everyone safe, we decided to post pone our big 7/17/20 wedding with everyone! But we also decided to say "What the heck - let's do this!" We quietly planned an adventure elopement out in the Pacific Northwest, a place we've always wanted to explore. We still wanted to be married by my cousin Alethea so we decided to book a trip to visit Rainier National Park and get married right there in the park since she lives out in Washington state! We rented this adorable cottage in the woods, scouted out awesome views in the park on the day before, and then did the whole thing on Friday! We got married right at Reflection Lake, with Rainier in the background (though cloudy) while Alethea officiated the ceremony and my other cousin, Sarah, took the photos! It was perfectly down to earth and so special being just the two of us surrounded by all things simply beautiful. It was all very us. We then spent the week exploring Rainier and Washington State, and just having the best time together!
It was the Thursday before we were leaving to go on ski/snowboard trip to Ellicottville the next day for Kate's birthday weekend. Kate had some errands she was in a hurry to run after work, which Jeremy was stressing her out all day asking her about her itinerary. By the time Kate got back home, J rushed her on their winter walk down the bike path to the Clarence Town Park by their apartment. Little did Kate know, all the rush was because our buddy Bryan had been staked out behind a tree waiting to take a picture before the sun went down. Our walk was quick paced, but when we reached the bridge by the pond, J got down on one knee in the snow and asked the big question! Our walk back home was much more relaxed but also a whirlwind of excitement. Then, we had an awesome weekend with our best friends in Ellicottville where we had even more to celebrate!
One could say it was a run in at the corner of Meech and Hughes streets around Canisius, another could say it was at a house party. It's tough to pin point how we first met, but we both went to Canisius College where we had a handful of mutual friends. So I guess what we're really saying is, it started at City Tavern. We started dating in May of 2013 and now we're getting married!
