Maid of Honor
Kat's best friend since birth- she literally has not known a day on this earth without her. (Mia was around for two unbearable weeks without Kat.) Feel free to ask either of them how they met, but be prepared to listen to a 20 minute expository monologue. They go way back.
Best Man
One of Ben's best friends growing up. They played together in a garage band in high school. Once, they bought and destroyed a pair of jeans for a school project involving a stoner-rendition of Shakespeare.
Bridesmaid
One of Kat's best friends from high school. Marching band brought them together and Claire's penchant for all things 80s pop-culture kept them busy with many a movie night. Kat hadn't seen any of the John Hughes movies until she met Claire, so make sure you thank her for her generous contributions to society sometime during the evening!
Groomsman
Ben's oldest friend -- they've known each other since pre-school, and were co-captains of their high school swim team. When Tom worked night shift, Ben often met him in downtown Philly after work for "breakfast", aka eggs and whiskey.
Bridesmaid
One of Kat's best friends from high school! Their love of all things baking brought them together (and their not-so-love for Algebra II Honors), and they've since enjoyed many a day-trip to the surrounding adorable towns near where they grew up on the Jersey shore. One of Kat's favorite memories with Savannah is blueberry picking in Frenchtown, NJ!
Groomsman
Ben's fellow student turned roommate/coworker turned great friend. They lived together in Philly in three different places over five years. When they weren't doing a podcast with Dan, they drank beer, played Rocket League, and watched The Wire.
Bridesmaid
One of Kat's best friends from college. Margaret was one of the very first people Kat met at Franklin & Marshall College during a pre-orientation event before they even started their freshman year! They've been through a ton together over the years, including being snowed into their college apartment after finals and marathoning the different versions of The Nutcracker.
Groomsman
Ben's former coworker at Vanguard and cohost of the hit podcast Awful Waffle. He can usually be found with Ben drinking Jefferson's Reserve and making obscure references to Nic Cage's cinematic oeuvre.
Bridesmaid
One of Kat's best friends from college. Either fate or necessity brought them together their junior year to fill in a room in a college apartment, and their hijinks since have known no limit. Ali famously showed Kat around Philly after they graduated when she was contemplating moving there, and it took them 5 hours to drive back to NJ after Kat's tire blew just outside of the Institute for Contemporary Art.
Groomsman
Ben's friend from Gettysburg College. Before he ran off to live DAT ISLAND LYFE in Hawaii, Drew and Ben could be found together eating cheese steaks and playing trick-based card games.
Bridesman
Kat's older brother! Thomas used to wake her up at 3am on Christmas morning to sneak downstairs and ogle at the unopened gifts, much to their parents' chagrin. They share many more memories, and these are perhaps best illustrated by a series of embarrassing photos that will no doubt play into the wedding somehow.
Groomswoman
Arguably the cooler of the Connecticut Winstons, Rachel is Ben's younger sister. In childhood, they liked to play Duplo and ride bikes. Now, they drink wine and talk about how frickin' hard it is to be a grown up.
Bridesman
Kat's younger brother. Despite the fact that she tortured him until age 10, he agreed to do this wedding with her. Ask him about his volunteer gig at the Ithaca cat cafe and watch him whip out photos like a proud father on portrait day.
Officiant
Ben's paternal aunt and one of his favorite people. She taught him the importance of making lists (something he doesn't do often enough), the subtle beauty of sarcasm (something he NEVER uses), and (unintentionally) how to effectively use curse words. Sorry, Mom and Dad!
