Barcelona

Check out some of the places in Barcelona we loved (yes they're touristy, but worth it):

Circuit de Barcelona

MotoGP's Grand Prix of Catalonia 2026 will be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on the prior weekend (May 15-17th). If you're a motorsport fan and already planning to arrive in Spain early, this could be an exciting race to attend. According to the internet, its also one of the more General Admission (GA) friendly tracks.

Basílica de la Sagrada Família

Speaks for itself. Its been under construction for over 100 years. But they have confirmed a completion date of the building in 2026 so maybe you'll get lucky.

Park Güell

The Gaudi Houses: Batllo, Mila, Vicens

Check out the three Gaudí houses: Casa Batllo, La Pedrera - Casa Mila, and Casa Vicens.

Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya

Art museum. Even Kasey enjoyed it. If the weather is nice, follow it up by taking the Montjuic cable car to the Castell de Montjuic to get views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean.

Blanes

There are many beautiful sights and attractions around Blanes as well (including our venue):

Jardí Botànic Marimurtra

This is a beautiful botanical garden a couple minutes walk away from our venue, El Convent. You can see El Convent from the garden and vice versa. You can truly get lost in the garden and explore for hours. Fun fact: this was also one of our top wedding venue contenders!

Castell de Sant Joan

Just a gorgeous castle overlooking Lloret de Mar (cutest beach town in Costa Brava). No notes and a must visit.
