Travel party can't decide between coffee and beer? We've got you covered - this is where we met for our first date! Puritan serves up Onyx Coffee, which you can also go to directly (less than 2 miles from our reception).
Fossil Cove Brewing Co.
Our absolute favorite brewery, this is also where we spent the second half of our first date!
Hammontree's Grilled Cheese
While we're on the date train, this is where we went for our second (the next day for lunch) - there's nothing quite like their infamous gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and they're located right off of Dickson St. Just watch out - they're not open on Sundays!
Khana Indian Grill
We frequent this fusion restaurant quite a bit - highly recommend the khati rolls!
Thep Thai Restaurant
Our favorite Thai place - where we go on Forrest's lunch break - ingredients frequently come from their garden!
Arsaga's at the Depot
Northwest Arkansas is not lacking in brunch spots, but you can't get more quintessential Fayetteville than the Depot.
Pinpoint Pinball Bar
If bar-hopping Dickson doesn't interest you, there's a much more chill evening to be had on Block St. We've spent more nights than we can count playing pinball and darts at this basement bar!
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
Check out our world-class art museum if you haven't been - it's only about a half hour north of us! In addition to their free galleries full of American masterworks, they're located on 120 acres - full of trails!
Devil's Den State Park Visitor Center
If you want a taste of the Ozarks but don't have time to drive out east, this state park is only twenty minutes south of town and has a variety of trail lengths!
The Goat Trail to Big Bluff
Fun Fact: Three months before Forrest and Karen's first date at Puritan, they first crossed paths on this very trail! They later learned this when describing trails to each other and checking out the timestamp on their digital photos - in addition to Karen's vague memory of Forrest's group blocking her preferred lunch spot. A fun walk down with an incredible view, but fair warning - the hike back up can be a challenge! Also known as the Centerpoint Trailhead in Google Maps.
Lost Valley
One of the easiest, most rewarding hikes in the area - also one of the first hikes the couple went on together! Climb up a waterfall-cave-bridge, hear your echo in Cobb Cave, swim in the hole beneath Eden Falls, and venture through the upper cavern where you'll find a waterfall INSIDE a cave - be sure to bring a headlamp!
Hawksbill Crag
Also known as Whitaker Point, this infamous landmark is a major photo op with soaring views!
Glory Hole Falls
This waterfall was formed by a stream that's made its way through an overhang cave!
Indian Creek to Eye of the Needle
NOT for the faint of heart but waterfalls everywhere you look - if you make it up the Cathedral, you're almost to the Eye - where we spent our first anniversary!
