7:00 pm
In lieu of a formal rehearsal dinner, the immediate families of the bride and groom will meet for the first time at dinner the night before the wedding.
3:00 pm
Please bring an umbrella and appropriate shoes!
There will be a brief, intimate "elopement" ceremony with family and a few close friends who have traveled from out of town. We are asking for an unplugged ceremony so the photographer we hired will capture your faces & not the backside of your phones (feel free to go crazy at the reception) - please & thank you! While this description has always stated the ceremony is private, we profusely apologize to those who RSVP'd early, as we realized the RSVP form itself was not clear in stating this!
6:00 pm
Attire can range anywhere from casual to cocktail - we're a big fan of Hawaiian shirts & floral dresses ourselves. Much like the ceremony, due to unlevel, wet ground, heels are not recommended. Pleasantly fragranced bug spray is, however, encouraged for the June evening.
The reception is open to any guests who wish to attend & will be held outside the couple's home, where there will be wine, Dubois homebrew, & alternatives for those abstaining. The newlyweds will arrive shortly after the party begins, so be there on time to throw seed at them. Heavy hors d'oeuvres a la New Orleans will be served at 7PM. There is limited parking along our cul-de-sac, as well as across the street on the gravel drive by the university's agriculture fields - please see FAQ for detailed parking instructions, as they are specific.
