Passports must be valid for at least three (3) months beyond your planned departure date from Greece. To be safe, we recommend that your passport does not expire within six (6) months of your travel dates. Because our wedding is in August 2026, travelers should ensure their passport is valid through at least February 2027 (or renew early if needed). U.S. citizens and many other nationalities do not need a visa for short-term tourism stays in Greece. We recommend applying for passport renewal by March 2026 to ensure you have your documents in time!
In August, Crete experiences gloriously warm and sunny weather, with temperatures soaring and virtually no rainfall. The island typically enjoys over 200 consecutive days without rain during the summer season. When packing for your trip, prioritize lightweight, breathable clothing and plenty of beach essentials to fully embrace the Mediterranean climate.
We kindly ask that only those formally invited attend. We appreciate your understanding. If you are bringing your little ones to Crete, please reach out to us for local childcare / babysitting recommendations!
Yes, transportation will be provided from Nautilux Hotel and Grecotel Plaza Beach House to the Wedding venue. Details to follow.
We invite our guests to join us in formal attire. Long dresses, gowns, and suits are encouraged. Because August in Crete can be quite warm, men are welcome to choose lighter fabrics or light-colored suits instead of traditional dark tones.
While there are no direct flights from the United States to Crete, you'll find abundant connections through major European cities.
