Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is approximately a 110-minute drive from Crested Butte and offers direct flights from Chicago and select additional airports. There is an excellent bagel place in Montrose if you need a pre-drive snack! Click View below to see rental car options for MJT.
Flight
Denver International Airport (DEN) is approximately a 4-hour drive to Crested Butte through Cottonwood pass. The drive takes you through beautiful mountain scenery. Alternative routes include Monarch pass which is approximately a 4.5-hour drive to Crested Butte.
Travel Note
Crested Butte accommodations are mainly divided into two areas; the Town of Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte. We recommend booking accommodations in The Town of Crested Butte when possible. This will put you within walking distance of the welcome party and the shuttle pick-up for the ceremony and reception. Booking accommodations on the mountain is also possible and may be less expensive. There is regular free buses between the mountain and town every 20 minutes between 7:35am and midnight.
