This is the closest airport to Crested Butte. The drive is approximately 30 minutes. There are rental car options available, as well as a shuttle service that runs to both Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte.

The drive from DIA to Crested Butte takes approximately 5 hours. It is a beautiful scenic drive on the trek there! Most directions will take you through Monarch Pass. For an extra adventure, take Cottonwood Pass west from Buena Vista (County Road 306). Cottonwood Pass is only open seasonally, and July is the perfect time to take in the views at over 12,000 feet! Whichever route you take, be sure to have your directions ready in advance, as service can be spotty while driving the mountain passes.
