The Wedding Website of Kaitlyn Simon and Oscar Mendez Marin
We have compiled our favorite flight, hotel, and more travel options for our out-of-town guests... and locals looking for a weekend getaway to Saratoga :) If you need help or recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach out to the bride and groom.

Flight

Albany International Airport

Albany International Airport is a convenient local airport and only a 30-minute drive up I-87 to Saratoga. Please note, the airport is under construction for the foreseeable future. We would advise you to allow extra travel time in your schedule, especially if you're flying out of Albany after the wedding and checking luggage. There are a few car rental options located in the baggage claim area. Flights can get pricey depending on where you're flying from. We recommend tracking flights on Google Flights or the Hopper app and booking a few months out when prices are predicted to be lowest.

Flight

LaGuardia, Newark, or John F. Kennedy International Airports

These are the three biggest airports in the NYC area. LaGuardia is in Queens, Newark is across the bay in New Jersey, and JFK is in Brooklyn. Flights into any of these airports may be cheaper depending on your departure city, but you will have to either rent a car and drive up to four hours north or take an Amtrak train from Penn Station to either the Albany-Rensselaer or Saratoga station. This might be a good option if you're looking to spend some time in NYC on the bookends of our wedding weekend.

Train

Amtrak

Amtrak trains are the easiest way to get to and from NYC. Trains run every hour or two between Penn Station (NYP) and Albany-Rensselaer Station (ALB) and coach seats start at $36.00 per person one way. You can also take a train from NYP right to the Saratoga Springs (SAR) station, coach seats are $52.00 per person one way. You can rent a car for the rest of the journey at Albany-Rennselaer, or take a taxi/rideshare from either station. We love taking the train and if you ride during the day, the fall colors in upstate New York are gorgeous!

Travel Note

Hotel Booking Page

Zola has provided us a wedding hotel booking page with many great options for a few night stays. Certain hotels have specially negotiated group rates that are not advertised to the general public. We recommend looking in the Saratoga/Rock City Falls areas for convenience. There are also some VRBO & AirBnB properties listed that could work if you're planning to stay with a group and split the cost. If you need help finding accommodations, please let us know.
