FAQs

Question

How do I get into the park?

Answer

Vehicle passes are required in the park. Day passes will be provided by the bride and groom upon arrival to Lady Slipper Lodge. Annual passes ($35 for unlimited entry into all MN state parks for 12 months from purchase date) can be purchased in the Visitor Center.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

April 25 - All you need is a light jacket Please dress comfortably for April weather in Minnesota. Ceremony and dinner will take place in buildings heated by fireplaces near the lake and the lake breeze. We care more about your presence than your outfit! Photos will be taken, but please do not feel obligated to go and purchase a new outfit! If you have something in your closet you enjoy and feel comfortable in, please wear that!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome to attend all weekend festivities!

Question

Question

What should I expect for the day?

Answer

We’re going very relaxed! After the (likely brief) ceremony, we’ll do a large group photo and family photos. Then Micah and I will adventure out with our photographer for a while to get our photos as we are not doing a first look. During this time, we will have everyone transition from Ladyslipper Lodge to Lakeview Shelter where we will have some snacks/drinks and a few games/kids activities set up. You are also welcome to go explore the park if you’d like during this time (parents are welcome to choose to bring a change of clothes for kiddos at any point during the evening). We will serve dinner at 5 and invite everyone to stay for that. Aside from the main dances (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son) we decided we’d rather spend the evening talking and celebrating with all of you and appreciating the fact that we’re married! We can’t wait to see you!
