Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kaitlyn Gosewehr and Ian Hogg
Lake Tahoe is fantastic all year round, but late summer is one of our favorite times to be there. From mountain hikes to boating on the lake, beachfront restaurants to local breweries, it's hard to go wrong. While there's more than enough to keep you busy for several weeks, below is a handful of suggestions for things to do and eat nearby.

Emerald Bay State Park

138 Emerald Bay Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
, (530) 541-3030

Beautiful viewpoint with hikes short and long. Tours are available of Vikingsholm, a 1920s mansion.

Hike to Eagle Lake

Fallen Leaf Lake

Beautiful area with miles of trails for incredible backcountry hiking and camping.

Tahoe City Public Beach

River Ranch Lodge & Restaurant

2285 River Road, Alpine Meadows, CA 96146
, (530) 583-4264

Nice spot for outdoor dining next to the Truckee River, and a good jumping off point for several miles of riverfront hiking trails.

Jake's On The Lake

, (530) 583-0188

River Grill
