Planning to stay for church on Sunday? Living Hope is the perfect place to go. Kaitlyn was raised in this church, and it holds a special place in her heart. It’s a warm, welcoming, and close-knit community that’s full of life and love. Her father is the pastor, so visitors will also have the chance to hear him preach—she may be a little biased, but he’s her favorite!
Yamato Japanese Restaurant
Brandon’s favorite restaurant in North Carolina! He’s a big fan of the Kani salad and hibachi, while the Good for You sushi roll is Kaitlyn's favorite. If you enjoy sushi or hibachi, this spot is a definite must-try.
Old Salem Museums & Gardens
For a fun and unique outing, Old Salem is a must-visit. This beautifully preserved historic district in Winston-Salem offers a glimpse into the past with immersive tours and experiences—or you can simply stroll through and enjoy the charm. Lot 63 is a great spot to grab a coffee, and no visit is complete without stopping by the bakery for freshly made Moravian cookies. It also holds special meaning, as it was the first place Brandon visited during his initial trip to North Carolina.
Cascades Preserve
Cascades Preserve offers a fun and manageable hike for anyone looking to get outdoors and stay active. The 2-mile loop features gentle hills—just enough to add variety without being too challenging.
Triad Park Playground
Triad Park is an excellent spot for families with children or anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful walk or picnic. Spanning a large area, the park offers multiple playgrounds, scenic walking trails, picnic shelters, volleyball and tennis courts, and open fields perfect for playing or relaxing. Conveniently located near the church and recommended hotel, it’s a highly recommended choice for visitors.

Brandon’s absolute favorite store—hands down. If he could, he’d spend an entire day there without hesitation. Kaitlyn introduced him to this store and he was hooked ever since. With a massive warehouse filled with physical media like games, books, movies, and more, it’s a haven for any collector or enthusiast.
