Question

I'm invited to the ceremony. How can I access those details?

Answer

Private events through Zola are a bit confusing. If you are invited to the ceremony, click on the "RSVP" tab, type in your LAST name, and the event details for both events should pop up. This works even after you have RSVP'd. If you run into any problems, feel free to shoot us a text! We understand that this can be a confusing process.

Question

Why the big change?

Answer

This is in regards to us having a smaller and more intimate wedding on Friday and a huge party with everyone else Saturday. When we started planning, our guest list was almost 300. As we got moving, the wedding began to drift farther and farther away from what we had envisioned it to look like. We took some time to pray about what the Lord wanted this to look like and ultimately decided that this was the best way forward. It was a difficult decision, but we couldn't be more excited to do things this way. We truly believe that this will enable us to spend quality time with everyone while still fulfilling our desires for the ceremony. Plus, it will be more fun this way!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Absolutely! For the party, we would LOVE for you to bring your kids! Honestly, they will probably have the most fun. We love the kids in our lives, and it would not feel right to us to celebrate without them. If you are coming to the ceremony, you are also welcome to bring your kids. Unlike the afterparty, they may not have very much fun, but we will leave that up to your discretion. We will ask that you leave them with the provided background-checked babysitter in the next room during the ceremony, but they can join us after that!

Question

What will the party be like?

Answer

If you have ever been to one of Kaitlyn's graduation parties, it will be almost exactly like that. We will wear our wedding fits at the beginning so that everyone can see them, and get whatever pictures they want. Our incredible photographer has also offered to put together a slideshow of some of the photos from the ceremony, so you can get a sneak peek of those as well! We will have yard games, board games, a Smash Bros. tournament on the blow-up screen, the water slide bounce house, good food, and lots of fun. Being able to do things we actually find fun and being able to connect with everyone feels more true to who we are and how we want to celebrate. While the ceremony is important, celebrating our marriage is just as important to us, and we would love to have you there. Jesus turned water into wine to keep the wedding party going, so don't discount the celebration!

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

The ceremony will be slow, God-centered, and focused on connection. We will have a normal ceremony, a more extended dinner, and then an hour of worship. We want to focus on connection with the Lord, with one another, and with our guests in a way that feels filling and meaningful.

For all the days along the way
