FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kaitlin Grosgebauer and Nikhil Tellakula
Question

Am I allowed to take pictures?

Answer

For the ceremony specifically, we ask that you keep your phones in your pockets and let the professionals work their magic. Our photography team reserves the right to ask you to put your phone away anytime during the ceremony - this applies to everyone, no exceptions! There will be plenty of time for you to take photos at other events - we appreciate your understanding!

Question

What do I wear to each of the events?

Answer

While guests are welcome to wear formal attire from either American or Indian culture, we warmly invite you to embrace this special occasion by wearing Indian clothing! It's a wonderful way to celebrate the culture and add to the joy of the wedding festivities. We do ask that guests refrain from wearing jeans, sandals, and white clothing, including white lehengas or saris. We also ask that for the ceremony, guests do not wear hats unless they are religious headwear. If you have specific questions, please reach out to bride and groom!

Question

Do you have inspiration photos or links to shops you can share?

Answer

Yes of course! There are many online or even Instagram shops that have reliable and high quality Indian clothing. Some of our favorites are: Lashkaraa, Kalki, House of Indya, Kynah, Cbazaar, Aza Fashions, and even Etsy! If you prefer to rent, allborrow.com has rental options and there are many other rental companies if you choose to look elsewhere. If you see something you like and have questions, please feel free to reach out to the couple. Additionally, we have put together a Pinterest board to help with Inspiration: https://pin.it/5fmnRvPzz

Question

Am I allowed a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue constraints, only the people listed on the invitation are able to attend. If you have a specific circumstance please reach out to the couple!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While this won't be entirely adults only, if we have not specifically reached out to you, we hope you will enjoy this as a weekend get away from the little ones!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Sangeet will be mainly indoors with access to a heated outdoor patio space. The Baraat will be outdoors. The ceremony will be outdoors followed by a partially covered cocktail hour before moving inside for dinner and the reception.

Question

What is the deadline to return my RSVP?

Answer

We ask that guests RSVP as soon as they know if they can make it or not. All RSVPs must be received no later than March 15th, 2026. After that date, folks that have not responded will be marked as cannot attend. We will not be able to accommodate late responses.

Question

What time should I arrive on wedding day?

Answer

Unless you are have been explicitly told, we would love for you to join us by 1:45 pm for the Baraat. If you wish to not attend the Baraat, please arrive by 2:45 pm to find your seats before the ceremony. Late arrivals will not be able to enter until the ceremony has completed. We appreciate your promptness!

Question

What if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?

Answer

Please reach out to the couple when you RSVP regarding your situation and we will ensure the caterer has accommodations for you.
