Kaitlin & Nikhil met at the University of Miami, bonding over their shared love of statistics, desire to be at the beach, and gratitude for knowing at least one person in their class. Through boring math homework (her words) and exploring Miami, the stars aligned as their friendship blossomed into something more. Suddenly, school was over and it was time to move for their first jobs - Kaitlin to Atlanta and Nikhil to San Diego. The next year was full of FaceTimes, flights, new cities, and a curiosity of where their future would land them: West Coast or the South? Stars once again aligned when Kaitlin secured a job in Oakland and Nikhil in Fremont. The car was packed and shipped, and Arrow flew by himself for the first time to the Bay Area. They moved into their first apartment together in Oakland and spent the first night with a mattress on the floor (no surprises here) and take-out Mountain Mike's pizza - excited for their upcoming lives. Then, COVID-19 hit and the apartment got a bit cozier with two people working from home & a very bored pup. They made the best of it trying new recipes and taking Arrow on countless runs and hikes. In 2021, they made the leap across the bridge to San Francisco and bought their first house. The next few years were full of traveling, concerts, races, and taking advantage of all the wonderful things San Francisco has to offer. They built a strong community and knew they were ready for their next step. In May 2024, Kaitlin & Nikhil took a well-deserved vacation around Europe to Portugal, France, and Greece. On this trip, on top of the stunning Colline de Château overlooking Nice, Nikhil asked Kaitlin to marry him and she said no thanks. KIDDING! Of course she said YES! Now, after 7+ years together they are officially getting married! We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you in sunny Southern California!
