One of our favorite date spots to enjoy a fun, but casual country music affair! Come to the Opry for a taste of country, folk, and bluegrass music before going out to dinner or a night on Broadway. The Opry is hailed as the show that "made country famous" so you won't want to miss it!
You can't come to Nashville and miss out on iconic Broadway! Whether you want to get down at the honky-tonks or just shop and enjoy the local scene, make sure to check out all the action at the heart of Nashville. Some of our favorite honky-tonks are The Stage, Tootsies, and Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row. Broadway has live, local music at all hours of the day and we actually recommend going in the afternoon for the best music listening experience.
Come visit the home of President Andrew Jackson, recently named the #1 historic house in Tennessee! We went on a visit here with friends and loved all of the history (it's worth it to pay for the audio tour!) and walking the beautiful gardens and grounds around the 1,120 acre property.
If you’re a fan of Mr. Cash, then this is the museum for you! We came here on a whim and had an absolute blast. Home to the largest collection of Johnny Cash artifacts and memorabilia in the world, this attraction has a lot to offer. And afterwards don't forget to stop at the local Goo-Goo (Dolly Parton's favorite chocolate) and Ice Cream shop that is right across the street for a nice treat.
If you want to booze your way through Nashville a great way to do it is by visiting a local distillery. We came here with a group of friends and really enjoyed the tour and complimentary whiskey tasting. And don't worry, if you're like Kaitlin and not a huge fan of whiskey, then you have to try their Louisa's Liqueur (it goes great over vanilla ice cream), made in honor of the woman that kept the distillery running for almost 20 years!
Come visit the spot where bluegrass was born! Kaitlin and her mom came here for a girl's night out and had a great time! Whether for a tour or for a show, if you love country music then you have to come to the music venue where it all began (right in downtown Music City!)
If you enjoy a good burger and want to get away from the hustle of downtown, then come to this cozy spot in East Nashville! A mix between a beer garden and a burger joint, this place is a favorite of ours. As the burger aficionado in the relationship, Kenneth gives The Pharmacy 10 stars.
Another great spot in East Nashville is Five Points! You can stay and enjoy a whole pie, or grab a slice from their to-go window after a night out (conveniently open into the wee hours of the morning!). If you are a pizza lover then this is the number one place to grab a slice in Nashville!
A hotspot for the trendiest restaurants in Nashville, The Gulch is the area to visit for the foodie in all of us. A mixture of upscale dining or something small and hip, The Gulch has food for every palate. Some of our favorites are a steak at the Kayne Prime (Kaitlin and her Dad recommend the house made maple cotton candy bacon) or some Sushi at Virago (the date night spot that made Kenneth fall in love with Sushi!).
Brunch in Nashville is definitely a form of art and is a must do after a night on the town! We took Kaitlin's mom here for Mother's Day brunch and loved it! However, just about every restaurant in Nashville offers a great brunch experience and some other local favorites are Biscuit Love and Marche. Make sure to get to brunch early if bottomless mimosas and biscuits are high on your food list.
You can't come to Nashville and not experience some hot chicken and mac n cheese! We love this spot and have come here with friends on several occasions. The line is worth the wait!
