Flight
Located just across the border in Denmark, Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is the closest and most convenient international airport in the area. There is a train that leaves directly from the airport that will take you across the border into Sweden and to your final destination, Båstad. Other airport alternatives include Ängelholm–Helsingborg Airport and Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport.
Train
The train station is located in the Copenhagen Airport (CPH), below Terminal 3, and the train is called Öresundståg. The train ride takes about 2 hours from the airport to Båstad Station, and tickets can be purchased ahead of time on the "Skånetrafiken" website or app (see link below by clicking "View"). Train tickets cost 215 sek (about $25), but please note there is a 20% discount if you buy two or more tickets at a time. Once in the app, select from "CPH Airport Kastrup" to "Båstad Station", then "Single Ticket". On the next screen, you will be able to select the number of tickets, as well as payment options.

Rental Car
If you choose to rent a car during your stay, Copenhagen airport has many rental car options. Most rental car companies allow you to travel between Denmark and Sweden for free, but it is worth double-checking.
Travel Note
Båstad is very navigable by bike, and oftentimes biking is more convenient than traveling by car. You can rent various types of bikes from the following locations. City bike rental at Memil, electric bike and city bike rentals at Svens Cykelaffär, or rent your bike through Donkey Republic (unmanned bike rental app). You should be able to find any of these locations by searching on Google, but please feel free to reach out if you need help.
