The wedding weekend spans 7/29-7/31. We will be in Båstad the week leading up to the wedding, as well as a couple of days after. Feel free to come for a little or as long as you'd like! We'd love to see you for any amount of time regardless of what your travel plans are able to be!
Yes, we have a block of rooms from 7/28-7/31 at Hotel Skansen. Directions on how to book your stay at Hotel Skansen using the room block code can be found on the Travel & Accommodation tab. We (Kaci and Gustav) will be staying at Hotel Skansen from 7/29-7/31, as it is close to the wedding day venues.
No, but we will have access to a couple of cars and can gladly help transport you to and from the Båstad train station and your accommodations. We can also help transport you to our house for events taking place there. On the wedding day, all venues are located within walking distance of each other. Please see the Travel and Accommodation tab for car and bike rental information.
Yes, please indicate any allergies, dietary restrictions, dietary preferences, or any other special requests on the RSVP card, or let us know directly by phone or email.
No - we do not expect any gifts, as your attendance (especially those of you who are traveling) is more than enough! However, if you still feel inclined to bring a gift, we will graciously accept. We just wanted to make it clear that there is no expectation to bring a gift of any kind.
Båstad is a summer beach town and is located in a southern county of Sweden, called Skåne. It is a popular vacation destination in the summer and is famous for hosting the Swedish Open, a professional tennis tournament on red clay. The harbor/downtown area will likely be very lively during our wedding weekend, as it is peak season there. The weather in late July tends to be in the mid-seventies, with very little humidity. It may be a good idea to pack a sweater or light jacket, as it can get chilly in the evenings. Many of the streets and sidewalks are made of cobblestone, so keep that in mind as you plan shoes for the wedding day! The primary language is of course Swedish, but everyone speaks English in addition. The currency is the Swedish Krona (Swedish Crown), denoted as "sek" or "kr". It is worth noting that the country is essentially cashless and accepts most major credit/debit cards, so keep that in mind if you are considering exchanging currency.
